For now, the transfer portal kids are noted “Transfer Portal” in boldNot sure where to put this but @huskymedic would it be possible for you to make our portal commits a different color than our HS recruits on your inbound list? If it’s annoying for others nvm. I just like being able to see who’s a portal get vs a HS recruit and they all blend together
The kid gave us the best he could. At least he showed up.Well at least he got one game of solid game footage to impress future schools with………..😬
I just looked up CSUs 2026 schedule and they only have 4 scheduled games so far, Wyoming, Southern Utah, BYU and at UTSA.
The newPAC schedule should come out later this month after the 23rd.You mean the PAC hasn’t published their 8 game schedule?
The rebuilt Pac-12 plans to announce its 2026 schedule, bowl affiliations and format for the conference championship game “sometime after Jan. 23,” as the conference waits for the CFP to “establish a format for the 2026 season,” according to Jon Wilner of the San Jose MERCURY NEWS
Urgent reforms are vital:
• Limit transfers to one penalty-free; require one-year sit-out for more, curbing impulsive moves and tampering while restoring commitment.
• Mandate full public disclosure of NIL earnings/deals via centralized database to curb abuses.
• Cap earnings: if NIL exceeds twice scholarship value, forfeit scholarship for reallocation to an athlete in a non-revenue sport, preventing double-dipping and boosting equity.
The newPAC schedule should come out later this month after the 23rd.
Pac-12 holding off on 2026 schedule, bowl plans until CFP format is set
While looking for the above info, I came upon an article about the portal. The contents are the usual spiel of what we've been lamenting, but I like the 3 points it makes at the end (not sure how enforceable they would be, but it's something):
The Death of Amateur College Athletics: How the Transfer Portal and Unregulated NIL Have Turned Campuses into Pro Free-Agency Chaos
points number two and three are dead in the waterThe newPAC schedule should come out later this month after the 23rd.

I thought he came in w/ one year of eligibility… maybe challenging JUCO years?
Agreed. He came up and tackled well and broke up some passes. Felt as the year wore on the poor tackling became contagious and when he was in there it afflicted him. I also like Latu's aggression and physical play from the safety spot but coaches stuck with McClean and Mollette. We were told he had one year left.
Mills is one of the mysteries of the season. When Mal McClean was out with a concussion, Mills played a game against Syracuse that no defensive player not named Bryun Parham came near playing at any time last year. And then not only went back to the bench, but barely played meaningful snaps as a sub (no matter how badly we were getting gored defensively). Would love to know the story there.
Considering the P4 experience of both Mills and Latu, when we signed them I really expected both to start and be key pieces on our defense. I was pretty surprised when neither saw the field much this year as well.Agreed. He came up and tackled well and broke up some passes. All I could think of was the other guys knew the defenses and secondary calls better cause those 2 guys were certainly more physical.Considering the P4 experience of both Mills and Latu, when we signed them I really expected both to start and be key pieces on our defense. P-4 players who haven't broken through yet at that level don't always come in and start when they get to UConn's level. We've seen that all the time. When I don't see them play material snaps, I just assume that despite who recruited them originally they're just not good enough. What made Mills' case unusual was that we got to see him play, and he played really really well. While the defense as a whole struggled much of the year.Considering the P4 experience of both Mills and Latu, when we signed them I really expected both to start and be key pieces on our defense. or 7 game schedule. So 5 OOC games for each programYou mean the PAC hasn’t published their 8 game schedule?
Good call out. I had actually forgotten about him.We were told he had one year left.

But that's just the thing, both had broken through at the P4 level. Latu had 56 tackles, a couple sacks and interceptions, and a forced fumble for Wisconsin all the way back in 2022. Just based on his numbers, he seemed to see the field more for both Utah in 2021 and Wisconsin in 2022 and 23 than he did for us this past season. I'm thinking maybe he was injured in 2023 and just wasn't the same player upon returning?P-4 players who haven't broken through yet at that level don't always come in and start when they get to UConn's level. I remember a Mora press conference I believe after the Delaware loss where he said that we needed to get McClean back there to help our secondary. So, I'm not sure if he blew some coverages at the end of that disaster which put him in the doghouse or not.But that's just the thing, both had broken through at the P4 level. Mills didn't play as much at Penn State as Latu did at Wisconsin, but he was trusted enough to be on the field against SMU in their playoff game and even made an interception. That combined with how he performed against Cuse made his lack of PT here head scratching
