Top 7th, West gives up a leadoff walk and with 1 out gives up 2 more walks to load the bases. West comes out of the game. Finn takes the mound.

West hasn't made it into the 7th inning all that often this season, guess he tired out.

After a strikeout for the 2nd out, Finn walks the next batter which brings in a run, 10-2 UConn.

Finn gets his 2nd strikeout to end the inning. 10-2 UConn.

I think the loss in the first game did UConn good as it made the hitters bear down for 9 innings. It made them realize that they can't just show up get a lead and coast into a win. Pitching helped as well with West leading the way. He knew what he had to do and got the job done. A big shout out to Penders and his staff for pushing all the right buttons and getting this team to play the way they are capable of.

Good question, considering UConn baseball never really established any continues midweek starting pitchers. My guess would be Jude Abbadessa, who did have some starts late in the season.
