I think 2 pitchers who could play an important role for UConn during the post season tournaments could be Tom Ellisen and Gabe Van Emon. They both showed some improvement very late in the regular season, and it is possible they could see time as starting pitchers should UConn end up in the losing bracket at some point after Coe, S. Quigley, and Cooke get used as starters. As usual, we'll see what happens.

wouldn't be shocked if Coe takes the ball Saturday too if they're still in it.

I know we have a deal w/ Prasco Park. But it is nowhere near our teams/schools. If we are going to be in the midwest, we should play in Omaha. Flex our big east muscles and say this is our territory, one of our schools. Otherwise, there are great minor league parks in the east that can support a tourney.

Cooke - Big East Pitcher of the Year
First Team - Cooke, Morton, Broadhurst, Afthim
Second Team - Coe, Garbowski, Padilla, Dalena
Ficca (G’town) - Player of the Year
Hampton (SJU) - Coach of the Year

Assume Xavier is starting a righty and TC did hit the ball well last game. Quigs instead of Coe as well.
Chris Jones is on the Varsity App and Studley is a bit under the weather today w/ the bug that’s been wandering through the team (same one that whacked Broadhurst last week) and Quigley starting is a match up issue w/ the wind blowing out today and Coe being the fly-ball pitcher he is.

With Simmons in RF, together with Morton and Shpur, that is some defensive outfield. Still, Simmons hasn't seen much time in the field this season.

Chris Jones says that Studley is back at the hotel tonight.
