Not true. Why don't you look at the schedules more closely. Or look at computer ratings of the schedules. Geno tried to schedule a challenging OOC schedule, but the teams he picked have underperformed thus far. Schedule comparison follows. Ratings are Massey's (n is neutral):Lot harder?! SOS, ND is 1, UConn is 2. At the time they played, UConn was 1; ND was 2.
ND is rated first by Massey because of their offensive production, not their schedule. UConn is second because of their defensive metrics; their schedules to this point in the season are essentially interchangeable.
Sabernetrics really do provide the answers to these questions.
