UCLA Post Game Thread

Karaban legacy game. He brought everything we needed and more. UCLA’s plan was to take Tarris out of the game, which worked pretty well, but they forgot there’s a 2x champ that steps up in big moments.

Jayden Ross was the ignition, tremendous on Dent, reliable shooter now which is so exciting, and non stop energy.

Love to see Drummond by the bench too, it’s a real family.

SURVIVE AND ADVANCE!

We got an extremely favorable draw with the Bilodeau injury, but we survive and advance.

We need to get healthy and make a few strategic adjustments this week (more Ross, run the offense thru the post, less Ball/Mullins 3s).

I really hope Danny doesn’t think that we can keep doing what we’re doing and hope that the 3s start dropping. That won’t get us by a real team.
Nothing about about our draw has been favorable. We had a 60% Silas tonight.

So we either lose this weekend or win it all. No opponents with home games left.

MSU is next
Nice win. Malachi held his own, AK rose up. Ross continues to elevate. Now a week to heal up and hopefully Silas is there and Stew can provide minutes, as we need options.

Thanks god we kept that B10 team out or else the S16 would be loaded with their teams. MSU, Purdue, Michigan, Nebraska, Illinois, Iowa.

BE more teams in S16 than ACC.

I am hoping these wins allow Braylon and Solo to breathe. There are still big moments out there to erase any of the bad that happened this year and to rewrite the narrative. Solo his college career, BM to NBA teams.

We get JStew back and it is clear we need another effective player off the bench.

Florida got clipped tonight, and others will next weekend. We desperately need to clean up the unforced TOs moving forward. Let's play with ferocious intent and confidence from here on out and we can actually do this thing.

I really hope Solo keeps his head up. After the three misses and subsequent foul for the UCLA and-1, he looked like a defeated man. Bright side is he always keeps positive on the bench but I’m really pulling for the kid to see some shots start to fall.

AK - as he always does, hits enormous shots

Malachi - 6 assists, solid D

Silas - just having him on the court is huge.

Ross - we are, rn, a better team with him on the court

Mullins - huge shots to give us some life when we needed it. He’s got to be a 15-20/gm guy moving forward.

Solo - …

And to the fool who said he hoped we’d lose bc he hates this team. Pretty sure he’s a regular poster. You do not deserve this team. You’re an embarrassment.

Gonna need Ball to break the shooting slump, but the defense and silly fouls…….

Too good a talent to play like that. I don’t get it. If your shots not falling…..dig in on defense and fight for rebounds 🤷
When has Ball played defense?

Always nice when the fans of other teams drop by to say something complimentary.

I am finally seeing what some others having been saying for weeks now. Hurley should start Ross over Solo. I feel Ross’s confidence is sky high and he has contributed on both ends of the floor. Solo’s confidence seems to have taken a nose dive. Nothing against Solo, just seems it could be best for the team if Ross got the start.
