This is the closest we get to seeing MoJeff v Dangerfield. Dangerfield is playing against the level she will be next year and her senior year.

~18 minutes. That's what happens when you have two talented teams that are all about freedom of movement and not mucking it up into a physical game.
 
UConn ends the 1st quarter by going on a 9-0 Run to take a 21-11 lead. Napheesa with 10 points. Another stat of note is Gabby already has 8 Rebounds. Gabby has more rebounds then the UCLA team. Stats shows UCLA with 5 Rebounds for the 1st quarter.
 
You can tell Gabby loves these types of games. Playing against two super athletic players in a loud hostile atmosphere...

This game just changed big time with Williams on the bench with foul trouble. I said coming into this game that 3 point shooting and limiting foul trouble were going to be the keys for UConn. So far they are not doing a good job of either.
 
We need a live chat function. UCLA is daring Gabby and Azura to shoot from the outside. Let's see what Megan Walker can do.
 
Kia and/or Crystal need to start to make some three point shots, otherwise UCLA will clog up the middle making it more difficult to score points. This is where team misses KLS. Gabby has two personal fouls.

3 pt shooting would be a problem if Kia was a little warm. She is ice cold and passing up open shots to pass to Azura who's double covered. Walker with the jumper!
 
Canada is really good. Minus the two ugly pull-up jumpers, she has impressed me.

The most impressive thing about UConn is how passes that would ordinarily be routine for UCLA are getting deflected consistently. That stops UCLA from getting any sort of offensive rhythm. The commonality with UConn's players is they are all long and quick.
 
Hopefully Kia ends up a little warmer in the 2nd half of the 2nd quarter. I'll even take lukewarm!

It seems like every time I see Kia Nurse she is either very good or very bad.

This team needs to focus on feeding Collier because she might have the best touch around the basket I've ever seen.
