The bubble teams do stink. This year is a really weak bubble

It's going to be an interesting selection Sunday if for no other reason than we get to see if the whole NET rating thing means diddly or not.

Clemson is an interesting case. Lunardi has them in the second four out group, yet they've got a NET of 35, and KenPom/BPI of 29. So how are they on the outside while St John's (72/80/68) is in the last four in?

Of the 16 teams Lunardi has on the bubble, the strongest 8 by the algorithms are NC State, Florida, Clemson, Texas, Oklahoma, Ohio St., Indiana and Belmont. Yet four of those are in and four are out.

If NET is basically meaningless and it's all about quad wins or some completely BS methodology, then there's certainly room for some entrepreneur to develop an even better system. Or it's as simple as ESPN bribing the committee to make Lunardi look good
