UC-Irvine against SMU...

SMU looks sluggish - down 30-24 and really not shooting well at all.

But check out UC-Irvine's center. (ESPN2)

He's a 7'6" freshman and actually looks like he's going to be a player. He's already blocked three shots and SMU's front court doesn't want any part of him.

Final 3 were Georgetown, Pepperdine, and UC Irvine. Decided to stay close to where he went to high school. Also, he had a tumor, so maybe schools backed off for that reason. Still, he looks like the real deal for a guy that big.

That was one of the worst refereed games I have seen. At least the refs are consistent. Consistently awful
