Perhaps the visit of our friends from Durham will stoke the fire. 77-74Once again, wonderful attendance in the student section., NOT!!!
Now that was a win, hits so loud, I thought I could hear them from the second deck. Offense had a great blend of passing and running with the wild cat. UAB qb was uncomfortable the entire game-Witness 4 and 40 from within their own five yard line in the second quarter. And a big shout out to every kickoff to UAB hitting the endzone. That’s how you play the game. The only down moments were last minute UAB td and once again, a full parking lot that forced me to turn around 90 minutes before game time with my blue lot pass and pay for parking. Apart from Michigan, I have never seen the lot that full. Inside, it looked liked 15 k at best. Hopefully everyone goes inside next week.
To be fair, shortly after kickoff there had to be at least 50 or so students in the student section. By halftime it was in the low 20's and in the 4th qtr maybe mid teens.I think that’s right. They had 24 fans compared to our 19 students.
Weren’t we up 38-6 after three quarters? Why in the world would your backside be fried by what happens in garbage time? Not to piss on the parade, but we lost the second half which just fries my backside. Need 4 quarters of sustained intensity and execution vs Duke. We can get it done. We just can’t shrink in the moment.
They were but they did manage to beat Memphis. The G5 games are wild like that.UAB was terrible. But the team deserves credit, they took full advantage.
3 of 4.Good all around win fellas! Bowl eligible 3 straight years. Getting better each year. Need to build upon this and close out strong. Recruit well. And portal well.
LOL. My statement was not meant literally. I didn’t count Blazer fans or students. But both areas were almost totally devoid of people. To be fair, shortly after kickoff there had to be at least 50 or so students in the student section. I dunno if it's that dire.. but I'd say last night being Halloween and the proclivity of college aged students to dress up and drink heavily had more to do with it than a wake and bake bowl with the Cap'n. Those crunch berries are hard to deny though.Noon start, the students are eating a bowl pf Cap n Crunch and firing up a fatty. They ain’t getting on a bus. It is what it is.
They’ve played much better since Mortensen took over. Beat Memphis who is in the top 25.UAB was terrible. But the team deserves credit, they took full advantage.

Coach pissed practice pissed and play pissed.Love that the team played pissed. Now we need to figure out how to make the team played pissed every game. Can't just be after losses.
And Dom and some of media were pissed. Sounds like recipe for success.Coach pissed practice pissed and play pissed.
You got a time stamp? And Dom and some of media were pissed. Sounds like recipe for success.
Not sure if everyone saw this on broadcast but Mora did his Pete Carroll impression prior to fourth quarter. Jumping up and down firing up his team. Great to see that enthusiasm.
