Now that was a win, hits so loud, I thought I could hear them from the second deck. Offense had a great blend of passing and running with the wild cat. UAB qb was uncomfortable the entire game-Witness 4 and 40 from within their own five yard line in the second quarter. And a big shout out to every kickoff to UAB hitting the endzone. That’s how you play the game. The only down moments were last minute UAB td and once again, a full parking lot that forced me to turn around 90 minutes before game time with my blue lot pass and pay for parking. Apart from Michigan, I have never seen the lot that full. Inside, it looked liked 15 k at best. Hopefully everyone goes inside next week.

Good win. Nothing to lose next week. Hope they do a better job of packing the stands.

Once again, wonderful attendance in the student section., NOT!!!
This....The Blazer fans had more in their section than the student section. Sad to see and say ; (

I've achieved a lot of peace this week as a fan, by not getting mad at how a given UConn performance would stack against a P4 opponent instead of the school we actually played. I think this is especially why I was mad last week after Rice.

So, I will take it in and give the boys their flowers, today.

I am still not very confident in a win next week. But I also don't see it as an impossibility. We'd just need to play the cleanest game we've ever played, which is asking a lot of these guys.

hoping Husky nation shows up. 36K and over, would be a great vibe.
36k and over? And then maybe you’ll make love to Sidney Sweeney?

There was nowhere close to 15k fans in the stadium today on a mild fall day with a winning team that is scoring points every week.

But how cool is it to have a decent game against decent opponent where the outcome isn’t already known.
I’m not overly confident either, but they have a good chance next week if they play a solid game.
Last week was painful, but the big picture is still brighter than it was 3-4 seasons ago.

Let’s keep this thing going!

I was beyond pissed for an entire week still am to a degree. We wouldn’t need to play a perfect game, if we don’t beat ourselves we will have a good shot. Defense I don’t know maybe we need Ricky Moore to defend against Mensah lol.

As far as our offense this may sound unfair but we need a little bit more meaning the little things like not coming up empty in good field position, Skyler Bell can’t have a critical drop. Sammis better be ready to switch things up because Diaz will have a game plan for Joe so we will have to be ready to adapt,

biggest game of the regular season, recognizable P4 opponent, a shot to beat someone who isn't trash and SERIOUSLY turn a corner in the season.... why not?
I don't think it's likely, but i don't think it's impossible, given the circumstances. my heart hopes for those numbers. my head says closer to 23K.

Head will be correct. Duke fans do not travel well for football games.

As a person who did not believe Fagnano would improve between years 5 and 6, and am so willing to eat the humble pie, us fans are going to miss this season's passing attack.

Sammis can call a great game but we are watching Jimmy's and Joe's this season.

I expect somewhere in between, maybe 27-28k

If the students aren't going to come, whatever. Then give them one section and start selling those seats. Get at least a couple hundred in there. Such an embarrassing look when bell is celebrating his 3rd TD in front of 15 people.

I like the stacked backfield we came out with early in the game. I think it gives us options. See you next week!

I too was concerned about UAB after losing to Rice. Happy to report that my concerns were unwarranted. Nice start by the offense and they kept it going all game.

Joe had a few high passes early but then improved. One of his best passes was to Bell that should have been caught for a TD but dropped by Bell. Joe has improved his passing while rolling out to the right. Other players of note were Bell, Edwards, Neider and Juice. Chadwick had his best game as a Husky with 3 INTs and a sack. I’ll ovelook the blown coverage on UAB’s first TD.

Now, let’s beat Duke.

Really hope ppl will show up and support the team for the Duke game.
For those who were there for the days of sellouts at the Rent, it was so much fun. The team is making major progress but it’s tough to get to the next level without fan support

You should not have to pay for parking with a blue pass. You just park in a different lot. I have done so in Grey Lot multiple times.

We suffered thru the 2010s watching our offense run/run/pass/punt, drive after drive. We'd only dreamed of having an offense capable of passing like the one we're seeing on the field this year, with the threat of passing on any down. Enjoying it, and looking forward to the final 3 games of the regular season!

I think that’s right. They had 24 fans compared to our 19 students.
To be fair, shortly after kickoff there had to be at least 50 or so students in the student section. By halftime it was in the low 20's and in the 4th qtr maybe mid teens.

Good all around win fellas! Bowl eligible 3 straight years. Getting better each year. Need to build upon this and close out strong. Recruit well. And portal well.

Edit 3/4

Early in the game we had at least 4 , 2nd and longs. 2nd and 14, 2nd and 12 etc. Sack, penalty whatever. Sammis likes to throw on first down. It has its upside but we will not beat Duke always behind the chains. We were able to overcome this vs UAB as Joe F was very on target. As others have mentioned we run to the short side predominately. I don't know why we rarely run wide side but it should be in the playbook. Our wideouts are decent blockers and it could get the run game going. The ref made a lame call in the 4th Q taking away a Neider bubble screen. After that they ignored multiple holds by UAB O-lineman and these were obvious calls. As for the students. Back in the day we had games at the Rent on weekday nights with a packed student section. Pitt, WVU come to mind. Today was a disgrace. Our D showed way more effort today to make up for the Rice game. It was nice to see. We dominated the game despite what the stats showed at the end as far as TOP, plays and total yardage.
