Are we allowed to speculate the role Covid has played? Australia is in serious lock down.
I am looking for a better understanding why the 2019 U19 game between Australia and US was much closer and competitive in comparison to the likely 20+ point rout by the US in 2021. Different teams but same age groups.
Well, I thought the lockdown has been only during the last few months. Before that when this current team was formed and training, Australia was a veritable COVID free zone with the population free to do anything except travel abroad (lots of restrictions but possible) ??
In 2019 the USA smacked Aus in pool play, met them in the final again and only won because of flailing elbow by anstey late in the game giving free throws away and the ball back. Went to o.t and dominated.

The game is being streamed on ESPN+ (as you stated=PPV). ESPN+ is included as part of the Disney+ (bundled with Hulu). I would think that if you have streaming capability, you should search to see if they offer a free trial.
