This USA team has a better coach

Team USA in the 2nd half has to reduce turn overs and continue to dominate the glass. They also have to keep the pressure on Spain's guards and don't let them get comfortable running their offense. Can't forget don't miss as many layups. PLEASE. :)

Ha... looks like Stevens just laid out her future teammate on a screen

Spain got wide open looks on their first three possessions and scored on each.

Geno will love Collier, but he'll also have fun telling her if you're being double/tripled team down low, it means someone else is open. She doesn't seem to pass out of the low post and forces up shots. I'm sure in HS those shots went in majority of time. Still a Great player and should be a Future All American.

Collier and Wilson with dub-dubs already. Geno is going to love the all-around utility of Collier's skill set. :)

Hopfully Crystal is just having a bad day at the Free Throw line. She's missed 4 straight and is 5-10. She's doing a great job running this team.

Entering 4th QTR. Collier 13 PTS, 14 Rebounds 5 Steals and 3 Assists. Don't let me forget the Block Shot and only 1 personal foul. That's called filling up the Stat Sheet.

Things have now progressed to the "UConn vs. RPI 300 team" level, with all this defensive destruction of Spain.

These rims are VERY tight. You better shoot it straight in. If your shot hits the rim, it's not going in most of the time.

Collier leading the team in assists (5) and rebounds (14) and third in scoring (13). She has 3 steals and zero turnovers. She is really good.

She reminds me of Delisha Milton Jones with her looooonnnngggg arms. She pursues the basketball relentlessly.

Lauren Cox is going to be a beast.

SO are our two players Collier and The Real Danger.

Last 5 minutes of this game reminds me of when Geno empty's the bench. Who knows were points are coming from, will they score or turn the ball over. Hardly watchable.

ND fans were high on recruit Ali Patberg especially after one service gave her POY. She won't be an impact player in her freshmen year based on what I've seen in this game and in the U18 3 x 3 tournament. 7 turn overs along with 4 personal fouls. Scored Zero points. She was an alternate pick replacing Asia Durr.

Feel badly for Notre Dame's Patberg: 0 pts, 7 turnovers and 4 fouls.

29 turnovers for USA. Collier and Dangerfield combined for 8 (of 21) assists and 0 turnovers.

USA had 29 turnover's as a team. That has to be close to our record in international play

.-.
USA Wins 72 - 57 With about 6 minutes left they had a 29 point lead when Dawn emptied the bench.

#12 who replaced KLS on this team looked more impressive in this game than Patberg

Surprised Cox didn't show much. 1-5 from the field. Did not look very athletic. Patberg, 7 turnovers..yikes. Ortiz 5 turnovers. Nice win but ugly basketball...maybe nature of game.

Gabbi Ortiz Guard 5 TO's
Ali Patberg Guard 7 TO's
Destiny Slocum Guard 5 TO's She gets a pass as she's just got to Russia and hasn't had practice time.
A'ja Wilson Forward 6 TO's
Crystal Dangerfield 0 TO's in 18 minutes of PLay.
