For long stretches of the 1st half Team USA did a poor job defending Canada's guards. Their guards have scored 34 of their 41 points. Canada is running a 3 guard offense. Can also say Canada could not handle Napheesa Collier. She scored 20 1st half points. USA did end the half on a 19-4 run to open up the lead.

Collier has shown her entire repertoire: she's made a 3, she's hit a mid-range jumper, she's scored on the break, she's scored off of rebounds, she's scored off the dribble, she's handled the ball on the break to score and pass. She leads the team in points, rebounds and steals.

Seriously, she also is a year younger than most of the rest of the kids. Well sort of. All the kids on the team were born in 1996. So Collier is currently 17, turns 18 in September, but will turn 19 her freshman year at UCONN. I guess she's a grade behind a lot of the kids she's playing with, but is essentially the same age...

USA Wins 107 - 76 Napheesa Collier ends up with a Double/Double 22 points, 10 Rebounds along with 3 assists and 4 steals. Didn't play many minutes in 2nd half.

I too lean towards Turner as the more all around player.

Turner and Wilson looked better without the other on the floor. More room to operate.

Wilson is a post player, btw. I know there has been talk about her playing the wing or guard or whatever, but she's most effective in the lane and that's where her future college coach has been playing her.
