The overwhelming majority of the best nicknames in Husky history have been one syllable. Bazz, Boat, Shad, Rip, Rash, Free, Mek, Yell, Scoe, etc.
The two syllable nicknames that have stuck would be KO and Ray Ray, although I never bought into the cutesy sounding Ray Ray, and always just called him Ray.
Some 2 syllable names have been used without tricking them up. Rudy, Kemba, Stanley, Donny, Hilton.
The exceptions where a name has been made longer as a nickname have been few. Notably Caronimo, Cliffy.
Don't saddle Vance with a phony sounding nickname. Vance works just fine.
Unless he continues to shoot like he did the other day. Then we can call him Money.

You bring up something pretty relevant because Vance is not going to always go 4-6 on 3's. Rodney has always made them for us and you're right, we need GIlbert and Adams both to hit them now and then.

Why in the name of all that is holy are we not just carrying @Dove out on our shoulders like the end of Rudy? This was an open and shut case by the 3rd post. There will never be a better nickname than Dagger Vance and if VJ isn't photoshopped onto Will Smith's face before he hits another 3 we've failed as a community.
