Turnovers per game

is 14.2 at this point. for the season, only the 2008-9 team averaged fewer turnovers (13.7) , going back as far as 2005-6. looking at just those years, the turnover average continues to come in at 14-15 per game. it doesn't appear that this team differs much from even the undefeated teams. more against the better teams, fewer against the weak teams. perhaps much ado about nothing.

The 14 to/g (18th in D1) number is deceptive. In the last 4 games the team is averaging 17.5 to/g which would put them in 164th place.

I think the thing that was sticking out to everyone, at least for me, are the mystifying turnovers committed by Kelly. And it's not like someone is just playing lights out tough defense on her. she's throwing the ball to no one, passing to post players who are double or triple teamed, or making other uncharacteristic mistakes. And it's not just an anomaly of 1 game - it's been her past 3 or 4 games.

After the ND game Faris gave an interview and she blamed herself for the loss. I think that in the last few games she's trying to do too much not realizing that if she just plays like Faris she'll be giving the team exactly the leadership it needs.

At times she is passing to where she has expected a person to be or the spot they should be moving to. Others are simply stupifying.

They're averaging 16.8 turnovers in conference play.

This team has committed bad turnovers and has had questionable shot selection all season. If that doesn't change, it'll be their undoing in the tournament.

In general shot selection is considered good if they go in and bad when they don't.
