Song above and this song I've been digging lately.
RIP Raul..... Raul Malo, the golden voiced leader of the Mavericks passed away last night after an 18 month battle with cancer. During the past decade, we went to see his band every summer during their stop at The Indian Ranch in Webster, MA where this video was filmed. The last time there was in 2024. They were to open for Dwight Yoakam at Westville Music Bowl in Sept but had to pull out last minute due to his health. Even that far along with stage 4 cancer, he wanted to be out there with his brothers for the fans
On a plane ride home and this National throwback is a suitable soundtrack at cruising altitude.
OMG... so many similar and repetitive areas... 🙃Speaking of the Dead my daughter completed this puzzle over the holidays. It was a b#tch. grateful dead - 1,000 piece jigsaw puzzle
Just kicking this off , have seen Tyler a handful of times but only recently starting listening to Colter Wall but man this is good:
This year will be 25 years since the passing of a personal favorite of mine - Stuart Adamson. So here's a recording of what I believe was the final concert Big Country did in the UK, on Adamson's home turf, The Barrowlands in Glasgow. It's hard to overstate just how much this crowd loved the band.
There is a band out of Chicago called Bridget Calls Me Baby they have a new album coming out but this song is from their first I believe. singer has some pipes.
Take Me Home Tonight
Heard this on the radio and they mentioned it was a collaboration with Ronnie Spector. Her video was ahead of its time with the background dancers. In 1986 Eddie was about 37 and Ronnie 43. I actually saw Eddie perform in Enfield in 2003 for the 4th of July
So the board will not let me write Ma ho ney. It automatically corrects to Mahaney. 😳 WOWSaw Eddie in the Yale Bowl and in Ithaca. Both early 80s. That was the first of 2 Yale bowl concerts. Beach Boys, Cars, Eddie Money... Ne Mahaney. Next year was Eagles, Cars and Little River Band. Both were a blast. Eagles' live album centerfold is shot from above the Bowl.
I believe he and Ronnie were an item.
