Heard the last 30 seconds of this one on wfuv during last night’s commute home. Looked it up on their playlist and now I’m hooked:

Louis Cole has been one of my favorite jazz weirdos for the last five years or so and his newer Knower album has some excellent tracks.

Here's my favorite. The piano solo alone is incredible

The Brothers from MSG a few days ago. Wish I went to the show!

Thanks for sharing this....
I could listen to Derek Trucks all day.
I've seen TTB eight times...never at the same venue twice.... That will change this year with their Bridgeport shows in Sept.. :-)

Geese is like the anti-Goose, lol.

I heard a few of their lead singer’s solo tracks last week and started diving into their stuff. So many elements make up this band just love explosion and his voice is ridiculous.

I have been a Sirius/XM subscriber for years, but I recently discovered the Spectrum channel, which offers a nice blend of old and new music. Eddie 9V is in the rotation and has won me over as a fan; his music has a nice bluesy 70s vibe. He will be touring in the area this August.

I have to say that I never heard of him before this. Seams to have a mix of Markus King, Teddy Swims and St Paul and The Broken Bones, very souful/bluesy vibe. I downloaded his recent album and the musicianship is off the charts. Thanks for sharing.

Since you mentioned him - I met Marcus King at the airport in Nashville in April. Super nice guy. He was flying home after rehearsals/recording sessions at Peter Frampton's studio with the Toy Factory Project allstar band tribute to Toy Caldwell assembled by MTB's original drummer Paul Riddle. I heard the band made their debut at Telluride Bluegrass Fest last week. also includes Charlie Starr from Blackberry Smoke and Oteil Burbridge (ABB/Dead Co./TTB). That would be an amazing band to see. Hopefully a tour is in the works.

Didn’t realize the New Pornograohers dropped an album two years ago. Heard the opening track below on the radio the other day and love to see they’re still doing their thing: power pop w catchy hooks.

From 20+ years ago... I always loved their cover of Toronto's "Your daddy don't Know".

I downloaded the newest album by one of the best under rated singersong writers. I've been playing this constantly for the past week. Some very soulful tasty music from Paul Weller of The Jam and The Style Council fame.

Love the Modfather, but that album was released in 1992. He's released 17 albums since then. I haven't listened to most of them, but Stanley Road (1995) is a keeper for me.

Weller is the only artist besides Lennon & McCartney to have #1 albums in the UK in five different decades.

You're right, I stand corrected, lol. I meant to say he just released a new album but I still go back to this album, his 1st solo and have been playing it most of last week. His current release is by the way good. Thanks, I will check out Stanley Road.

I have never heard of Slightly Stoopid before. I happened on "Upside Down" because I watch tricks performed by Jason Ladanye. His tricks are fantastic, and this tune is not bad.

He's got Just the one album.... checking it out on Spotify now..... thanks.
I like the album as a whole, but not sure what he's up to now. Faded Days is another gem off the album. I think his voice having a hint of Neil Young (?) hooks me. What did you think of the rest of it?

I am in the waiting room for the unreleased World Party album Karl was working on before he died. Since @QDOG5 thread last October, World Party has been a top five listen for me. That man is an undeniable genius. You want poetry? "You're a Hurricane, I'm a Caravan". You want pop/rock, "Way Down Now". Social Commentary? Everything! Ship of Fools is Oasis five years before Oasis. The rare band you can shuffle play, and not need to skip.

I hope something gets put on a soundtrack and blows up like Kate Bush did a couple years back. Get the music in front of the ears, the rest will take care of itself.
