Tufts vs. Thomas Moore. I think TM is favored to win this. Go Tufts! Go Carla!!!

BTW Thomas Moore enters the game at 32-0. Tufts is 28-3. Should be a tough battle for the Jumbos...
 
Maybe Carla will let Geno in the locker room at half time. Not likely, but he is in the stands. One of the loyalist people in sports you will ever get to see.

Uhh, it's an elite d3 college. The things you cite are a reflection of the kids, not the coach.
I would be surprised in many, if any, tats in NESCAC.

Uhh yeah. Thomas more is defending champ, and has won 65 straight. They are 96-1 during Moss's career. And IIRC, Moss got injured early in the one game they lost.
 
The player with the mohawk is Sydney Moss, who played at Florida. She has little interest in playing defense or rebounding most of the time but when she does she's a beast.

I like the announcer. A single announcer who knows his stuff; no distracting conversation about larger issues that should and do take place in the Kara/Rebecca parts or the coaches' corner. just good, precise description of the action.
 
Moss was on the SEC all-freshman team at Florida and was second on the team in scoring. Also was Gatorade Kentucky Girl's Bball POY in high school. Wonder what caused her to transfer down. She is clearly a level above the rest.
 
Bummer for Tufts. They'd get the deficit down to 5 or so, and then Moore would get the lead back up to 9 or so. Tufts just couldn't get over the hurdle. Still, great season for them. Disappointing but a lot to be proud of!!

She announced her desire to transfer but the coach wouldn't give her a release.
 
63-51 Tufts goes down. :( Moss may be their biggest asset, but she has sure learned how to screw up her BBall career.

Is Thomas More an elite D3 school? I guess mohawks (Sydney Moss) aren't the same as tats...

And they're killing D3 women's basketball.
 
It's a little strange for a former Division I player to move to Division III, but she became a star at that level. Obviously, she has her father's uber athleticism. Just think what Diamond will do next year in Division III. ;)

Meanwhile, Lubbock Christian completed their perfect season for the championship. Congrats!

What is it with all these perfect seasons? Thomas More and Lubbock Christian must be bad for basketball. :D

Maybe if Moss played a little harder. She walked down the floor a lot and stood around on defense. The only time she was animated was when she was playing offense and even then she'd put up a shot and let her teammates rebound. When she DID exert herself a bit, she was the best player on the court by a mile but it wasn't anywhere near a consistant effort.

Chip off the old block. Although father Randy denies it, many thought he took plays off in the NFL. Doubt if will keep him out of the hall of fame though - most think he's a lock for first ballot selection.
 
From the AP article on ESPN.com: "Toward the end of the game, the Thomas More fans began chanting, 'We want UConn.' "

Do we have an exhibition game opening next year? ;)
