Tufts a top team in Div III

The Jumbos jumped out to an 8-0 start before losing their first game this past week. Now 9-1, Tufts is ranked #4 in Division III women's basketball. Carla Beruuuube has built herself what looks to be a perennial powerhouse. Go Jumbos!

The Jumbos seem to live in the Div III Top Ten. One of these years Carla's kids are going to take the Div III crown.

Thanks for posting that. As UCAP is playing away, I will make it a point to try to make it to that game. Mixed emotions. As a native of N.L. I should route for CC. But as a Husky Fan… And I don't know the coach of Conn College.So, GO TUFTS.

AT the time when BC & BU had their openings, if they considered Carla or even if they did would she have takn one of the jobs.

I'm not sure if she was looked at but I know that several years ago she was asked about moving to a D1 coaching job and she was pretty emphatic that she was just where she wanted to be. I might be wrong but I think she's very happy coaching basketball with none of the BS that accompanies a D1 job.

Loss to Scranton drops them to #9 to #13 in the Massey Rankings.

Key games will be vs Amherst (15 in Massey) on Jan 16, and at Williams (#35) on Feb 7.

I don't know that tufts has "lived in the top 10." They play in a very competitive conference and only won it for the first time last year. That was only their first trip to the final 4.
