Caveat: if it is true, then we should know shortly, just because that's how things happen when I post stuff like this.

Lou Lopez Senechal is an interesting player. Did she score so well because she was fairly big or did she score well because she can flat out play. Is she a Maddy Secrist type? She shot over .400 from 3.

Connolly has a blog right? And is at most of the news conferences. He's pretty credible. I don't agree with his evals sometimes but i subscribed to his blog and he seems like a straight up reporter. He seems to just be noting some interest.

the highlights for Latasha and saw #24 ( Ms. Edwards) make a pass to her for a layup. I said
"THAT'S Aaliyah!". If Coach Vic was (reasonably) high on her isn't she worth a consideraton?
She had an ACL of her R Knee and was wearing brace in one photo that I saw. But she is
6'4" and she comes across very well in media interviews. Ms. Lattimore is one year behind
Aaliyha = so she is in the same class as Amari, Caroline, and Azzi. That must have been
one heck of a H.S. prep girl's BB team!!

Sorry, my post was intended to be sarcasm. I know who he is and I was trying to point out that, like some BYers, he was offering information that appears to be an opinion. That's all.

I have no idea what this means, I don't know anything about Twitter. But based upon the quotes, my caveat has proven to have happened again.

Dan Connolly is a reporter/blogger from UConn. His info is solid. It's not speculation or an opinion. Mike Anthony also reported mutual interest between Lou Lopez-Senechal and UConn. That doesn't mean she has an offer, but they are talking.

I was a little surprised on Saniya Rivers. Saniya got over 12 minutes average PT last year...then I looked at her shooting numbers. OMG they are bad. For example, 1 for 31 from 3. She shot .245 overall. Something tells me Dawn was moving in another direction.

She was the #3 overall recruit. Yeah, her shooting stats were weak, but she handled the ball, dished it, and played defense.

I think UNC is probable.

There were whispers late in the season that there could be some attrition from SC and with Rivers' suspension, it wasn't a big leap to assume she might be leaving. There are always back channels to work (AAU coach, parents).

Here's Raoul's blog page on Rivers' HS recruitment. Lot of teams there: she went from 12 finalists to South Carolina. Heck, no wonder she said "don't contact": She's got 11 other places she can check out!

The schools have 1 or 2 days to enter the player into the portal so the player requests it but they don't know when they will go in but the colleges who sit on the portal all day surely find out when someone enters.
