He’s my random guy I’ve fallen in love with.Is this Murauskas guy in the portal or is everyone just picking a random guy to fall in love with?

Hurley is smart and Tommy Moore is a great GM. Silas was a huge get...they got this. Here's an article about all the dates and rules for the transfer portal this year if you need a primer. Says elite players should command $2-$3 million from revenue sharing. If your budget is $8 million is it prudent to give one player that much? As we saw with Kentucky this year just giving out money is not always the way to winning.

2026 College Basketball Transfer Portal Primer: Key dates, new rules, what to expect
The 2026 transfer portal officially opens on Tuesday, April 7, but plenty will happen before that date. Here is what you need to know to get ready.247sports.com
I mean, who wants to be #2 to their brother when you went to Duke and he went to Seton Hall, you played in the league and he didn't?Bobby already said he doesn't want to come to UConn
Please! For the love of Pete we need someone who can handle the press!!!!IMO we need someone to replace AK at the 4.
We need a 5 to split time with Reibe , preferably someone with a defensive , rim protection presence.
Lastly, someone to back up the 1 , preferably someone who can really handle a press
You haven't gotten out of the first round in your coaching career and your brother won back to back championships in the most dominant fashion ever.I mean, who wants to be #2 to their brother when you went to Duke and he went to Seton Hall, you played in the league and he didn't?
Fair point. I still wouldn't want to go be #2 behind my bro.You haven't gotten out of the first round in your coaching career and your brother won back to back championships in the most dominant fashion ever.

It's one of the minor reasons why I don't work for my mom like he does (he's the VP of Operations).
He already has been Danny’s assistant.I mean, who wants to be #2 to their brother when you went to Duke and he went to Seton Hall, you played in the league and he didn't?
Wait...what? Where? Enlighten this brain battered guy.He already has been Danny’s assistant.
Bobby was Danny's assistant at Wagner.Wait...what? Where? Enlighten this brain battered guy.
If they have much left after football. I recall $20.5 Million being the revenue sharing cap.The revenue share isn't a salary cap. Top programs will be able to offer big money to multiple players.
No cap on nil on top of that thoughIf they have much left after football. I recall $20.5 Million being the revenue sharing cap.

One other thing I’ll say about Mozes. He has made all the right decisions. The best basketball trainers and advisers in Israel. He chose to be repped by a respected, legacy agency like Octagon, and not his 2nd cousin who owns a falafel stand in the suburbs of Tel Aviv. You often see family/friends repping many of the Euros. Not the case here.Hey Kibbe,
What's the story on the Israeli center you mentioned a couple months back?
It’s starting up again. Seen a lot of UConn fans clamoring for this guy already. Not sure I like the fit tbh.
CCSU Star Darin Smith Jr also announced yesterday. Averaged 20 points.
Also as a reminder. Let’s not get this thread locked, this is to discuss potential incoming transfers only.
We'd need to be really sure that Hurley can coach up his defense. Starting him at the 3 next to Ball is a recipe for disaster. I'd rather just roll with Landrew and Ross and see what we can add at PF, C and PG. Adding a defensively deficient wing doesn't make much sense.
Wonder what his IDF status is vis a vis the Iran warOne other thing I’ll say about Mozes. He has made all the right decisions. The best basketball trainers and advisers in Israel. I think he turns 18 in July. So he cannot be drafted yet. Like Deni Avdija, I doubt this kid ever sniffs a combat role.Wonder what his IDF status is vis a vis the Iran war
Both wings actually. I don't think Vaaks is a 4 anyway, I see him as a 3. But in any event, you're right and I have commented several times that when we high hedge the 3 and 4 both have defined rim protection responsibilities. It's one reason our metrics were better when Stewart was starting for Mullins (although the best lineup was Mullins at the 2).I can't stress enough how much pressure we put on our 4 on defense. Not the spot to have a minus defender in our system.
If you're talking about Vaaks he would be a disaster at the 4 because he's a guard.I can't stress enough how much pressure we put on our 4 on defense. Not the spot to have a minus defender in our system.
I agree that we cannot go into next season leaving Silas on an island again when it comes to on ball creation/press handling.Portal needs for our starting lineup: Power Forward, another CG creator like Castle/Jackson who plays ferocious defense and slashes to the hoop, and another starting caliber center.
Starting lineup should be Silas, CG Portal, Landrew, PF Portal, Reibe or Portal Center (whoever wins the battle).
Bench: Stewart, Ross, Ball (unless he plays defense, he has to move to the bench), backup PG, then whoever loses the starting battle between Reibe/portal center).
Reibe needs to put on 20lbs of muscle if he wants to start next year. I think he'll develop nicely, but we should definitely get another beefy big to compete for that starting spot.
And we need to get back to having 2 PG-like players on the court at all times. Silas can't be alone out there again next season. He needs a robin.
That's pretty much where I'm at. Despite our record I don't really like the construction of our team. Can't roll out another starting lineup with three set shooters and just one guy Silas who can get in the lane off the bounce. There's so much pressure on Silas and Tarris because as we've seen we have little margin for error especially when those three shooters can't hit anything as we saw against Marquette and in the Big East title game.Portal needs for our starting lineup: Power Forward, another CG creator like Castle/Jackson who plays ferocious defense and slashes to the hoop, and another starting caliber center.
