Yeah losing Kalkbrenner and Neal is going to hurt. Kalk really covered up a lot of their deficiencies on D.I don't think they have a single really good defender.

I agree. McDermott is a really good coach, so he will get his team to perform, but similarly to losing Clingan, Kalk really covered up for them when they got beat off the dribble whether by blocking shots or just his presence. They will certainly shoot the lights out of it, but I also think they may not have quite the athleticism they need defensively, and it will be more glaring without Kalk. Still, they are going to be good.Yeah losing Kalkbrenner and Neal is going to hurt. Kalk really covered up a lot of their deficiencies on D.
Not much - Miller and Pop gone, Kalk, Neal and Ash graduated. It’s Green, their frosh 4 and then these transfers. They also have the top 50 frosh coming in. McDermott had to go deep into the portal with all he’s losing, but he’s made it happen fast. What's their roster comprised of at the moment?

I didn’t describe his pre-NIL career as mediocrity. I said the stretch leading up to NIL was mediocre. Plenty of excellent coaches hit a mediocre stretch, especially at the end. He went 39-51 in the three years before the NIL ruling. Even before then he had two decent teams that both got bounced in the round of 64.I know Larragna to be honorable, and the no Nil for his elite 8 comes from his own mouth during that presser where he announced retirement. He claims the following year he had 4 nil players (that'd be the final 4 year). Is he lying? I dont know. You are right that they did pay big bucks to those 4 during the final 4 year
Your point is valid, but I took umbrage with Larragna being shaded in a way that he was only at the top because of $. He developed Isaiah Wong, beat us with George Mason. There are some current SEC coaches who i think are reliant on the NIL $ of their program, like you describe, but describing his pre Nil career as "mediocrity" i didnt like.

Creighton has a SQUAD
Childhood friend of the Diarra(s)I wouldn't mind him as solution at Forward for us.
Would be a solid 4 for us - hits the boards and can bring double digit scoring potential if he were to get 15-20 MPG (he was a bit up and down offensively but hung double digits in many SEC games). Anyone know what his defensive rating is?I wouldn't mind him as solution at Forward for us.
solid point because having Kalk play the one man zone/drop coverage cleans up their lack of comparative team foot speed. Kind of like this past yr post Clingan. Not sure Creighton will be able to play any defense, but we'll see.
Good defensive rating just very foul prone.Would be a solid 4 for us - hits the boards and can bring double digit scoring potential if he were to get 15-20 MPG (he was a bit up and down offensively but hung double digits in many SEC games). Anyone know what his defensive rating is?
Michigan is going to be very good again next year
He’ll fit right inGood defensive rating just very foul prone.
I agree on Cadeau, but Morez Johnson is really really good. He's one of the best guys in the portal. They still need to add more but those 3 transfers along with Trey McKenney who's a top 20 recruit and Roddy Gayle coming back is a nice coreI think they still have some work to do. The uab transfer seems very good but I dont think they are expecting to return really any contributors, I think the two bigs are both gone and their best guard is in the portal. And then with these guys, I think Cadeau is not a winning player. small no defense and cant shoot. Was an average player in a pathetic ACC, and the big they got from Illinois is a nice rotational piece but not anything special

If he's playing 20 minutes or less, we could work around that.Good defensive rating just very foul prone.

Strange one I was not expecting. I've complained about Lowe all year for playing hero ball (along with Leggett), but he was going to be "the man" going into his junior year. He comes from a hoops family and his dad is friends with Capel, which got him to Pitt in the first place. Kid has talent, but is prone to make some iffy decisions on going into the trees with his somewhat slight build. 5.5 assists v 3 TOs.
Pitt now down to one guard. I imagine Lowe goes back home to Texas. I don't think UConn looks at him, but with a kid like this, I always wonder if two years with Hurley vs two years with Capel would produce a bonafide star.

Yup. Here's a high school scouting report on him as a football prospect.
A gifted athlete that not only starts at both quarterback and safety for his high school, but also doubles as a legitimate high-level basketball recruit. Viewed by most Power 5 football staffs as a full-time defender given his ability to make plays in coverage and stops in the open field. Uses thicker frame to his advantage as he oftentimes arrives on scene with the intentions of leveling someone. Does a nice job of gaining depth with his read steps and then reacting to what’s going on in front of him. Posted an elite short shuttle time the spring before his senior season. Those fast-twitch muscle fibers help him close gaps in a hurry, especially when he’s asked to come down hill. Strong instincts and physical demeanor suggest that he could thrive as an in-the-box safety at the college of his choice and potentially even as a money linebacker if he continues to add mass. One of the more unique prospects in the class of 2022 given his aspirations to keep playing both football and basketball at the next level. Likely to emerge as a starter in the secondary after a few years on campus, but could be deployed early on in situational packages.
