Idk what you’ve seen, but he’d be way behind Abraham. Folks need to relax on these freshman. I wouldn’t expect a Liam level contribution from any of them let alone a castle level. We need to hit the portal hard for some dogs who can get to the rim and probably a 4/5 guy who is physical w some upside. The only reason he’s ranked so low is because he’s from Australia and they don’t know what to make of him. Still a top #100 guy. With his size, handle and basketball IQ could see time off the bench at the 1, 2 or 3. I think he’s really gonna surprise and be a big contributor next year.
A lot to like about him. This is the guy.
Well on the way.I have to imagine the portal will break the record from last year. Everyone wants to see if they can get paid.
Numbers suggest he can pass the rock well, but not shoot it all that well. 33% from 3 over two years, 40% from field. Thats in a lousy ACC. Has nice size. I haven’t seen any tape of him to assess upside. How's his defense?
Not a very good shooter. 39% overall from the field isn't very good. Although almost half his shots last season were from three.
This is the guy.
Numbers compare slightly favorably to Tristen at ECU (especially factoring in he’s had 2 years vs. 3 years). He had 24 and 7 as a freshman in an ACC Tourney loss to Notre Dame. Then close to a triple double with 13-10-8 in an ACC tourney win over UVA this year. Was only 3-12 with 8 and 7 in a next round loss to Duke. How's his defense?

I understand your question, I just don’t think that was the case. No, that's not what I said. I asked a polite question and it deserves an answer. IF (you know what that means, right?) a coach thinks a team increases its chance of winning by not playing a highly touted freshman, should it play him anyway? And if so, what does he tell the other players as to why he is not trying to maximize the teams' chances of winning?
Me neither.Granted I've never heard of this kid until about 90 seconds ago but I don't get it.
This is the guy.
Maybe a ploy to drive up the price on a guy we don't want?Feels like trolling by D'Amelio and incredibly unlikely
Metric-wise he was a slightly above average defender and offensive player. Can he play defense? Athletic ? How is his handle?
StartMe neither.
Are we thinking this might be more of a rotation guard or someone that’s likely to start?
Looks to me like round peg, round hole into the starting lineup if we can get him.Me neither.

That tells me the freshman wasn't anywhere close to being ready to contribute. Along with the minutes the freshman got telling the same storyI understand your question, I just don’t think that was the case.
Another question is, if a coach isn’t playing someone because they are a freshman and the guy in front of him is playing bad but continues to get chances, what does that tell the team?
Because that’s moreso what happened this year.
I see your two and give you Justin, Taliek and Denham Brown.A program having Nait George and Tate George play for them would be so much more impressive if we hadn’t already had Donny and Donyell Marshall on the same frickin roster.
