Transfer Portal Starting to Load

Who exactly is getting $5MM? Is that actually true?
Dybantsa is the only one who has gotten that much. But NIL has escalated substantially so who knows. RJ Luis is looking for $1.5 million so I don't think there's any transfer out there who is getting $5 million.

I just don't see how a kid that small holds up in the big east. Never seen him play though. He's Liam's height and 50lbs lighter for god's sake
FWIW, Bashir's twin brother committed to Auburn last month from the JUCO level.

With 2s/3s Miles Kelly, Denver Jones and Chad Baker-Mazara all graduating, and considering how deep Pearl uses his bench, Auburn's pace-of-play would make sense for a slimmer 2/3 like the Bashirs.

You may be right. You maybe know the family. When you say "we went through the same thing with DC last year", maybe you are an insider. I am not. And I do not know the family. But here's what I do know: On January 1st, the kid was projected 10 to San Antonio. He is now on the fringe of falling out of the first round. Things changed. And I do not think its crazy to think that he would do exactly what DC did and return for a second year.
It’s amazing what posters make up when they don’t understand how the NBA looks at talent.

He is nowhere close to being out of the first round lol.

Nonsense.

He shot 42% at the rim.

I'd be shocked if that's all RJ Luis is getting on the open market. We're gonna have multiple guys on our roster close to that number

Not to mention, DC didn’t come in as a one and done, and there was a huge difference between his freshman year, when he capably backed up Sanoga, and Liam’s, being a Day 1 starter & the #1 offensive option for much of the season.

I'm thinking more about injuries. I know the kid is going to produce. I just see that size and cringe. Imagine him getting switched onto a Hopkins type? He'd be flattened

Not an insider, just common sense. Best case if Liam comes back, he makes a million or so? He'll make at least 4 times that in the NBA, while not having to deal with classes or practice limitations

He's also not even close to falling out of the first round lmao. He might not be a top 10 pick like it was projected at the start of the season but he'll be gone before pick 20. For the NBA, potential trumps college production, not to mention the older you get, the less appealing you get.
That’s your opinion. The opinion of the folks who conducted the mock draft from earlier in the week had him 25 while commenting on his lack of athleticism and lateral speed. While shooting 31% from 3. That’s not good.

Pure speculation on my part but I thought Piton claimed he might come back before the tournament, and today he gives a quote that it's time for him to go to the NBA. I wouldn't be surprised if the RJ "camp" made an exorbitant NIL demand right after the BE tourney and burned some bridge permanently.

Were any of you guys paying attention to what happened in St. John’s last game?

If you did not think this was possible, I’m guessing you missed it.

More than a million.

Even if McNeeley goes 30th he's going to get a 4 year deal for $13 million or so with $5-6 million guaranteed at signing. Unless if he goes through the process and scouts tell him he's not getting drafted, returning for his sophomore year would be a terrible economic decision.

They’re going to have to pull a Pope. Davries may not have recruited any of them back wanting to shift culture ASAP.

I would be all over IU players. There is some serious miscoached underutilized talent on that roster.
At the same time, what does it say about all of those players deciding to be coached by Woodson lol

And the school I think he ends up at isn't even there. My guess is he's at Auburn with his brother
He may end up in the SEC but Bama would be my guess if he does
