How is this even possible. 1 medical plus rS plus Covid is still only 7 years

If i had to guess, i would say he was given a second injury waiver. It happens occasionally, not too often though. Probably some special circumstance.

We had a pretty successful transfer from California last year. Wonder if there is any interest here. Put up some decent numbers against Colorado, Oregon and Portland. Not a huge sample size, but shot 39.4% from deep last year. Could fill a veteran void.

UC Riverside has been one of the better Big West teams over the last three years, finishing in final season KenPom rankings of 106, 177 and 142.

To add to the stats above, Pullin was also 183rd in the nation in fouls drawn/40 (5.0) and has a nice 49.9 2P%, 37.5 3P% and 76.7 FT% splits.

Not a volume three-point shooter, though averaging just 2.3 attempts/game, which makes up for just 16% of his FTAs.

But I like his ability to score efficiently, attack the basket and dish.

My guess is our shot of adding him is obviously better if Newton does not return as he's probably looking for starter minutes. However, even with Newton in the fold, I could see a lineup of Newton/Pullin/Castle/Karaban/DC with Ball being the first guard off the bench or vice versa with Ball starting and Pullin first guard off the bench.

Love didn’t have the credits to transfer into Michigan. We could use a shooting guard (though his 3pt% is way below Timberlake)

Just wanted to bump that Vanderbilt's Tyrin Lawrence is still in the portal after about four weeks.

The 6'4 200 guard has two years of eligibility remaining and averaged 13.1p, 4.4r, 1.7a, 1.0 3PM, 36.0 3p%, 3.9 FTA, 74.3 FT%.

Overall, real nice efficiency, especially playing in one of the most competitive conferences:

Also, I like how he's a plus foul guy as in he doesn't get charged for a lot of fouls, yet he draws a lot of fouls and gets to the line.

Also, I'd imagine Vanderbilt has a high standard of academics and personality, so Lawrence should be a nice culture fit on that end. Solid defensive metrics too, according to EvanMiya. He played the 2 and 3 at Vanderbilt.

Lawrence also finished the season en fuego, averaging 15.9p, 5.3r, 1.7a, 1.6 TO, 1.3 3PM, 40.6 3P%, 4.4 FTA, 78.2 FT% and 55.6 2P% over his last twenty games.

I'd be very happy if Lawrence and UConn have mutual interest.

He's going through the draft process as well. Was at the G League Elite camp.

6'3 without shoes, 6'8" wingspan, 194 lbs. 38" max vert. Fast sprint time.

Auburn, Memphis, and Texas Tech seem the most involved so far, and he's cut his list down already according to Trilly Donovan.

I think it’s pretty clear we’re moving forward with Newton and Castle in the backcourt. With tons of freshmen talent backing them up.

Love Cam Spencer.

2.3 3PM, 43.4 3P%, 89.4 FT%, 2.0 steals/gm

A stout guard who can shoot and play tough D. I feel like he always showed up late in games for Rutgers. Played all three backcourt positions and was even the backup PG.

High analytical rates too:

Just by tea leaves I think it's obvious that Hawkins, Sanogo, and Andre are gone
And Tristen is returning so that leaves us with:

Castle/Diarra
Newton/Ball/Ross
________/Stewart/Ross
Karaban/Johnson
Clingan/Singare

Spencer is exactly what we're missing to be the #1 team in the country imo

We need at least two tall guard/sf shooters
