I did not research the candidates. But I do think that
Lucy Olsen, a transfer from Villanova to Iowa, would
be a reasonable candidate. Olsen was their PG and
"go to" person for points and assists. She is also one
tough cookie with a great smile.

If I had listed 10 players would've included her. Don't think she's had as big an impact as the others in my top 5.

I know there is no such award but if there were — for someone’s FIRST year at their new school — here are some nominees:

Van Lith (LSU -> TCU)
Cooper (SC -> Tenn)
Amoore (VT -> Ky)
Iriafen (Stan -> USC)
Beers (OreSt -> Okla)

Looking at Cremes rankings, had forgotten about LegerWalker who is out for the season as of early Dec — big loss for UCLA .

Cooper sat out a year after transferring if that mattters. Not sure how she wins considering the Vols went backwards anyway. No shade intended. She was a big help to UT.

Excuuuuse me for not saying “first PLAYING” year. I assumed this was clear since academic sophomores can win frosh of the year if they missed their first year bc of injury.
