Transfer "leader" board

No, you started it when you attacked Clemson. Get it straight. Seems like a trend based on a lot of your posts. It was all in good fun, but I'll let you have your way. Hang a banner if you would like.

While your post has a certain Pickens County public school level of coherence, I find it impossible to believe there is a Clemson fan on women's basketball board.

If so, well how about that?

I would be more interested in % of team's minutes played.

So I finally got around to calculating the numbers. The table below shows the percentages of Players Minutes and Player Efficiency (PE) for most impacted teams and for all conferences.

The quality of players in the portal is more important than the quantity.
Small quantity, Large quality.
  • Maine has 1 player which equal 18.9% of Mins and 14.7% of PE.
  • Wagner has 2 players which equal 28.4% of Mins and 25.7% of PE.
  • Bucknell has 3 players which equal 43.1% of Mins and 50.8% of PE.
  • Northeastern has 4 players which equal 60.6% of Mins and 63.7% of PE.
Large quantity, Small quality.
  • West Virginia has 5 players which equal 4.1% of Mins and 3.6% of PE.
  • Wichita St. has 6 players which equal 9.4% of Mins and 9.3% of PE.
  • UNLV has 7 players which equal 18.1% of Mins and 15.1% of PE.
One of the concerns is that the best player's are leaving to join the better teams, where this is true I would expect the Portal % PE to be higher than the Portal % Mins.

Note: 48 of the 963 players (5%) need to be reconciled, players don't match to rosters as per NCAA Stats website.

Incredible work. I would be curious to see a column breakout for graduate students. For example I believe all graduates of IVY schools intending to continue for a 5th year are in the portal, because that is how the Ivy rolls. And most of the grad xfers are not looking for professional careers, but rather graduate degrees earned for free due to basketball.

By TEAM.

The table below shows the percentages of Players Minutes and Player Efficiency (PE) for most impacted teams for GRAD, OTHER and ALL sorted by OTHER.

The determination of GRAD is as per wbbblog.com, so there are Non-SR shown as GRAD and even SR not shown as GRAD.

Wonderful work! Thanks.
Here is a little more analysis for you.

Tables below compare the averages of ALL Players versus GRAD & OTHER transfers in both the Minutes Per Game (MPG) and Average Efficiency.
  • For GRAD transfers the higher their MPG or Efficiency the higher the probability to transfer compared to ALL players.
  • For OTHER transfers the higher their MPG or Efficiency the lower the probability to transfer compared to ALL players.

Penn St now up to 7 I believe including 5 of their 8 frosh. (Would’ve been recruited by previous coach).

Welp, believe it! Another Tiger fan here since the William “The Refrigerator” Perry days!! My sister, her husband (played football there), several cousins and high school friends graduated from Clemson. On the other end, I have several cousins and friends who graduated from South Carolina. My sister actually started at South Carolina and transferred to Clemson. She didn’t have to sit a year because she didn’t play sports. I had to throw the transfer part in there to stay on topic. ;):D:cool:

Isn't Kreiger in her 2nd season? Would they not been all of her own recruits?

Oops yes thank you.
Though I’d still say that first class, in which you have <6 months before signing day, is still kind of only partially yours.

Where do those players think they are going....
Detroit Mercy is a legit case though, as the players AND parents filed a complaint against the coach for her treatment of the players. Most of them did declare as soon as the season ended. A bit surprised that one is just doing it now.

I'm intrigued by the 7 at Chicago St. That is probably the worst program in D1. Where exactly do those kids think they're going to get another chance?
So far one player has gone NAIA. One JUCO. Other 5 have no announced destination.

I know Chicago St isnt much of a school but it still was a free education ....

Detroit Mercy had the audacity to support their coach, and allowed her to continue after the outrageous allegations from numerous players, along a well written and supported petition from their parents. Detroit Mercy is a Catholic Institution. [ ]Please don't edit, thank you.

LSU is looking to make the leaderboard, we have 5 as of now
Besides Gusters, has LSU added anyone else? I thought a few of the initial portal players were considering coming back?
