T. Young has more assists than our entire team this year. If that doesn't say it all about our offense

Adams is the only one we have who can pass. Larrier had a 3 on 1 yesterday and didn't even NOTICE his teammates. He is an incapable passer. Which would be fine if he didn't have to be a #2 option. But that's where we are now.

Our players are not safe enough ball handlers to be able to pass well. Vital seems to have IQ, but he can't pass to assist because he is constantly worried about having to get rid of the ball due to his bad handles. Larrier is similar.

On our team Coach Ollie is the best passer.

Would help if he was a great teacher.

It's all pathetic but...it stands to reason that our assist numbers are lower because do many of our passes lead to missed shots, no?

It's that our passes do not lead to GOOD shots. It's very rare where our offense allows for a good look. It relies on the player (usually Jalen, CV, or TL) to create the shot. That's great sometimes, but not every time. That's why in a tight game we had no other option than to force Jalen and Terry to take turns going one on one. And a good team will tighten up defensively and force tough shots. We miss contested fadeaways and they come down and get an open look to extend and put us away. Same movie over and over again...

As a point of reference, East Carolina is #350 in 3pt % at 27% and assists on 51% of made FGs

UConn assists on 39% of made FGs. Making shots would help but this may be historically bad.

Once the shot clock winds to a certain point there is little option except one on the defense. Our offense has no patience.

Sadly Ollie can't yank players Calhoun style when they're not doing what they are supposed to b/c we have 0 depth on our bench.

This season's going to be a nightmare just like last. Looking forward to next year is becoming exhausting...

That doesn't seem like a good thing.

The middle school basketball team offense also doesn’t help in getting guys open for shots that are makeable. Not that they would make it, since we can’t ahoot either, but at least it’ll be a better percentage shot.
