I don’t think there’s much to be said. She’s either the woman who can’t get Notre Dame past the Sweet Sixteen, or she’s a good coach because people say she’s a good coach. We are going to have to have some big conversations about Niele Ivey if this result holds.

Maddy wasn't nearly the player she was last year. She was a great pick and pop player. Niele was running plays for her to cut in the mid range and she was taking those shots. She also took a lot of off the dribble mid range shots. She scored on the block with fade aways, and sometimes power post moves. This year she didn't have any of that.Westbeld had only one rebound? And Prosper spells her and only has one as well?
Has Maddy become a jump shooter? That’s not how I remember her from before the injury.
Say it isn't so!!!!Remember a few weeks ago I was whining about Duke's seed and that we should have gotten the 3 seed that ND received. I'll admit now that I was under the influence of Diet Cheerwine![]()
I know they get Maddie scherr back. Maddie Conner I still think has some eligibility. Donovyn Hunter should be back. I mean we've seen some of the names in the portal, they seem like great fits. I could see them becoming a big time program in the big 12. Very cool story. His work with Van Lith and Prince and the deep pockets in Texas project really well for TCU in the transfer portable
Post game interview with TCU players is a recruiting dream.
Not disputing that part. But hot seat chatter for the 2025-2026 seems a little early to me.
ND also taking over 20 more shots than TCU and still losing is crazyLordy. Hidalgo 3-19 and CItron 4-15. FG%, 3PT%, and FT% were 32, 20, and 75% for ND, and 50, 42, 92% for TCU.
I am incredibly impressed at how Hailey Van Lith comported herself (hi Doris!) today throughout the whole game. Even more impressed with her sharing her mental health journey, and here's hoping that it helps other players realize that asking for help and not trying to go it alone is totally ok. Her performance this year takes away all the ick from last season at YKW.
I hope that means it’s a sieve.I’m liking the look of Tennessee’s press today
Ikr. But that’s how their press works. And Taylor Jones looks gassed at the TV timeout.I hope that means it’s a sieve.
I think that’s the point. Get steals and TOs, sure. But Caldwell also seems to want to make opponents rush things. And that seems to be happening. We’ll see if Texas can calm it down and just win.TENN doesn‘t have press so much as just helter skelter chaos. They lose the ball nearly as much as they steal it.
Booker is pro ready and has looked really sharp in the first quarter against the vols.I It's the tough thing sometimes with volume shooters. I'm eager to see if a similar thing happens with Booker on Texas.
I’d sooner watch old reruns of the roller derby. Contact for the sake of contact. Take a game of skill and turn it into a scrum. Yuck.I think that’s the point. Get steals and TOs, sure. But Caldwell also seems to want to make opponents rush things. And that seems to be happening. We’ll see if Texas can calm it down and just win.
Vic adjusted they calmed down and look fine in the second quarterI think that’s the point. Get steals and TOs, sure. But Caldwell also seems to want to make opponents rush things. And that seems to be happening. We’ll see if Texas can calm it down and just win.
ProbablyVic adjusted they calmed down and look fine in the second quarter
Btw: is this discussion or okay or would Nan consider it to be a game thread discussion

I'm thankful that WBB hasn't gone crazy like CFB with the "what have you done for me TODAY" firings, however with everything else in college athletics, it may come.True. Still the best post-legend performance.
But depends on how delusional the AD and fans are.
Nebraska football fired Frank Zolich and Bo Pelini because their teams only won 9/10 games a year, and the fan base demanded 11+ wins. (In the decade since, they’ve had 2 winning seasons.)
Nothing more needs to be said !’Hidalgo, Citron and Miles: 10/44 FG and 2/9 3FG. Ballgame.
Was thinking the same thingI have seen citron really defend Paige well. But have no answers for van lith.
Your friend Gilbert also had a defensive play...yes a defensive play, that changed momentum in Q4, a sky high block on a layup that only happened as State player changed hands to finish.Kaityn Gilbert yesterday for the real fashionist coach - 3-4 for 7 points in key first half duty in the victory over the Pack
Maddie Connor - 23 in the first round and 9 in the second and so far in the 3rd game 11.
Vonleh 16 against old Miss
KG obviously used to being unsung from her time in the dirty t. Given the lackluster kitty performance over the last 3 years a tiny but steady decline each year I would guess the fashionista coach might be reflecting on how she handled the myriad of players leaving the program.Among many role players, Gilbert was the unsung hero. Her 7 points when LSU was cold, and defensive effort.
FJ has a bad game. She was focus of the D, and still may not be 100% right.
Williams plays a lot of positions, and was important on D. Tough start offensively, but she was money in last 4 min, with ball in her hands as closer.
Solich.... And you're absolutely correct. Those idiotic firings particularly Frank Solich drove the Huskers into the desert the valley of Doom from which they will never return.True. Still the best post-legend performance.
