Tourney - Round 3

The Duke-South Carolina game should be interesting. Both teams are extremely good defensive teams. For Duke to win, they'll have to contain Fulwiley.

It'll prob be a close game. LSU is flawed but they aren't gonna get run out the building by any team IMO

UCLA should be favored, LSU nor majority of the rest of the country really have a true answer for Betts but if LSU's trio get hot then watch out. LSU somehow beat NC St despite getting zero production from Flaujae and Williams despite some gaudy stats was truthfully very mediocre. And the emergence of Sa'myah Smith has been something LSU has been missing all year

UCLA last year fell in love with the 3 ball too much vs LSU. If LSU collapses it'll be interesting to see if they continue to feed betts or fall back in love with the 3 ball again. Should be a fun game.


Also looking forward to SC and Duke. Some interesting matchups and it'll be a test to see where duke gets their offense from

Maybe, but if that's the case, they have Barker and Dujalic to give her more time to catch her breath if needed.

I only watched the first half but she’s the only player that did anything. She told her coach she was tired and couldn’t breathe. Yet she played 31 minutes. Don’t think Coach thinks that

I'm not clear on the point you're trying to make here. Should this be a concern or not?

Personally, I don't think that one clip is a huge thing. Ole Miss was physical on her and she figured out how to recover.

My response noted that Coach Close could use Dugalic or Barker to give her more time to rest if needed. It's an option if it's an issue tomorrow.
 
Ankle? No problemo says Miles as she dazzles coming out from the half. Irish defense leads to offense.

Announcers said Van Lith has one more post season appearance than Paige and I guess in her 5 years - 170+ games.

You make it sound so simple. May not have been your intention, but still.

It's almost (not quite, but almost) like saying that UCLA is beatable as long as a team can stop/contain Lauren Betts. There are certain players who are difficult to contain/slow down unless a team has the proper personnel to do so. As much as I've grown to love this iteration of Duke WBB, I have to be realistic. I don't know if the personnel is there to slow down a player like Lay.
 
Update on former kitties still dancing. Wonder what the 1.2 million dollar coach from the dirty t tells recruits? Hey come on down to the dirty t for a year - you may not get playing time or development but you can transfer to an elite program to go to the dance.

Kaityn Gilbert yesterday for the real fashionist coach - 3-4 for 7 points in key first half duty in the victory over the Pack

Maddie Connor - 23 in the first round and 9 in the second and so far in the 3rd game 11.

The mismanagement of Koval, coupled with the overreliance on Westbeld (when she returned) warrants at least a conversation. I don't think that Niele should be on anything remotely resembling a hot seat, but a discussion is warranted. I just wonder how she'll be able to keep grabbing seniors (in particular, those from P4s/Big East who were elite players in their own right) from the portal if this continues. In other words, if I'm a rising senior/5th year, do I really want to gamble on ND for that final season--especially if we see how it's going to turn out?

TCU just gave their guy a contract extension right? He’s gotta be the hottest non-p2 coach out there.

His work with Van Lith and Prince and the deep pockets in Texas project really well for TCU in the transfer portable

Post game interview with TCU players is a recruiting dream.
