Tourney Results - 1st Round

West Virginia over Columbia 78-59. 25 TOs for the Lions. 'Neers weren't much better w/ 21, but I bet they dominated the points off TOs statistic.
 
Oklahoma St.-South Dakota St. pretty ugly, but thanks to Asi's 8 point explosion in the last 2 minute's OSU goes into the half up by 7.
 
JuJu is leading UNCG 17-15. Her teammates have scored a bit as well. Officially another blowout.
 
Oklahoma-FGCU is another game that was fairly close...then suddenly it wasn't. 81-58 in the closing seconds. No answer for Beers, 25 pts/18 reb.

JuJu rolled her ankle. Probably okay, but with a 30 point lead she'll probably be a spectator for the rest of the game.
 
Why are the Trojans still playing their starters? Bunch of SoCal bullies :mad:

USC matched Duke for stinginess in allowing only 25 points.
 
I was gonna call my mother to tell her that her Spartans were playing on ABC..... In retrospect I'm glad I didnt.. glad she didn't have to see those big bad bullies from the west Coast do that to her team. :(

I picked U$C to make the final four.... But if they lose on Monday I won't be crestfallen.
 
Looks like South Dakota St. is gonna do it.

Gonna watch the Cal game... One of their backups went to my high school, one that has rarely been even decent in girls' hoop. Berean Christian plays in the lowest level (Div. 5) in the rare cases they make playoffs. They've never gotten beyond section playoffs to the NorCal bracket.

6'3 Abigail Abigor (#33) totally stuck out in videos, several inches taller than teammates. She had to take it easy with her passes or her teammates had practically zero chance of actually catching the ball. It was both funny and pathetic at the same time.
 
You can’t sleep on the jackrabbits. They are good for a win or two every tournament. Unfortunately, they were under seeded and will be sent home on Monday night.
 
OT, but what does State Farm have to do with Batman? I really hate this latest campaign they've rolled out. Just stop.

They probably have a deal of some sort with an upcoming Batman flick, another thing that needs to stop.
 
I have only gotten one wrong in the group bracket challenge so far. But some people are perfect. Shows how well the chalk has held up.
 
Norfolk St. hung around but it looked like Maryland was in control most of 2nd half.

Mississippi St.-Cal trying to set some kind of record for least combined points in a Tourney game? Haven't tuned in for one second of this game, and based on the score I won't be tuning in later on.
 
Oregon St. hung in for a half, but they can't score and North Carolina got going after the break. Getting blown out, but it was still a minor miracle they even got into the Tourney this year.
 
Michigan St. pulled away from Harvard. If not for a 2nd half collapse by my Huskies, the Ivies didn't do much in the Tourney.

No one made it to the second round. None really had a chance to win either.
