Two freshman with offensive fouls turn potential win into losses
Kentucky has a lot of length that might be able to neutralize Lee somewhat.Kansas State favored by 2.5 in Lexington. You know everyone's picking them after those 1st round results
I hear you but Prince's last 2 fouls were legit offensive calls. I was with 2 referees who made the same assessment while the games were live. Hard to see her foul out that way, but they were the right calls.Louisville getting every call. Prince just fouled out. I think that's 3 in the last minute and a half. That one might've been legit, but #4 was a horrible call.
Please, can we get robo refs already?
And Lee looked like she was on a minutes restriction against Fairfield. This is something to monitor against Kentucky.Kentucky has a lot of length that might be able to neutralize Lee somewhat.
I'll go to my grave disagreeing with you on #4. Floppity flop flop. Might've been a tiny bit of contact, but not a legit foul.I hear you but Prince's last 2 fouls were legit offensive calls. Tennessee Tech only played 7. I couldn’t believe it. Some of those reserves and walks-ons might never get another chance to play in a tournament game or on national tv.Biggest margin in a 1st round game, South Carolina is telling everybody else to top that.
edit--108-48 final, so 60 is the number to beat
Notre Dame won by 52 previously so close but not quite
That's the magic reason why Big10 #12 gets in instead of MEAC #2.A little disappointed that these mid major teams who won a bunch of games this year haven't been very competitive today. Liberty the obvious exception, and Grand Canyon hung around most of the game.
Charge should only exist if defender is standing still for five steps before taking a knee to the chest. Keep your feet or weight room.I'll go to my grave disagreeing with you on #4. Floppity flop flop. Might've been a tiny bit of contact, but not a legit foul.
edit--and in my fantasy world, even if there is a foul a flop negates it; stand up on your feet and play basketball
Yeah, today is not a good day for people who advocate for more mid majors getting in. For a while it seemed like we were moving towards more parity in wcbb, but now I think the pendulum is swinging back the other way. That's the magic reason why Big10 #12 gets in instead of MEAC 9#2.
Will be interesting to see if a team like Richmond, or Creighton can make sweet 16.
Three letters for you. oNe bIg cLue....Yeah, today is not a good day for people who advocate for more mid majors getting in. For a while it seemed like we were moving towards more parity in wcbb, but now I think the pendulum is swinging back the other way.
Yeah. Kind of a perfect storm w/ that, transfer portal, conference realignment, consolidation of power.Three letters for you. oNe bIg cLue....
To me, refs have gotten lax on calling offensive fouls with respect to arm control and it's leading to players being more aggressive when driving when compared to a few years ago. Prince's contact wasn't tiny. To the extent that the player landed on the ground? I'll give you that, but the displacement would have been obvious even if she had remained upright. They have to make that call.I'll go to my grave disagreeing with you on #4. Floppity flop flop. Might've been a tiny bit of contact, but not a legit foul.

Not many upsets on the men's side either.Yeah, today is not a good day for people who advocate for more mid majors getting in. For a while it seemed like we were moving towards more parity in wcbb, but now I think the pendulum is swinging back the other way.
Are we talking about the same play? Doesn't sound like it.To me, refs have gotten lax on calling offensive fouls with respect to arm control and it's leading to players being more aggressive when driving when compared to a few years ago. Mulkey & Angel can do guest commentary.Phew. We can get the van lith bowl now.
Big10 #10 (in league) over SEC#8.Graves quietly had a nice bounce-back year
I’ve seen a few Richmond games this year. Massey had them losing by six or so, I didn’t believe it. They really blew by GaTech except for a few minutes in the second quarter.Richmond is higher seeded, but still feel like a bit of an underdog. Glad they will move on. Today has been kinda boring. A few close games, but lots of blowouts, mostly chalk.
Lol we've had the same record beaten 3x in a row during this tournament. I'm trying to decipher what that means. First Notre Dame with the 52 point beatdown record which holds until South Carolina wins by 60. Then that record holds a few hours until Duke wins by 61. Is this a sign of the widening gap from the transfer portal, coincidence, or something else...?We have a new leader in the clubhouse. Duke w/ the 61 point beat down of Lehigh. Only allowed 25 points. Ouch! Take that CJ McCollum.
