Would've been glad to see Izzo lose, but I can't ever root for Miss. St. Someday we need to play them in the tournament and win by 40

I saw a good deal of Duquesne love in the buildup.
 
Big XII fans should be nervous. BYU was one of their teams that got a lot of undue credit, and they look like frauds so far.

They have to hope it's just a matchup thing, where BYU's finesse game ran into the buzzsaw of a hot and improving Duquesne team who play tough D.

BYU might be an anomaly though. They live and die by the three so much. Capable of beating anyone when hot but capable of losing to anyone when cold.

nah bro. byu is an outlier in the big 12 they just win games when they make shots. they're the type of team that can win some games as the underdog but if they're the favorite against a physical team they can get punked. my nit team beat them by double figures on their home floor.

That's kind of what I was getting at -- their style may actually be an anomaly for the Big XII so that they could be uniquely overrated in a way their other teams aren't. That's their hope. We'll see when Texas and TTU get underway.

Momentum starting to turn for Creighton. This feels like a game that will get out of hand quick in the second half.

BTW - did anyone catch that the day prior to the NCAA tournament starting, the SEC came out with their big news? The 2025 SEC football schedule.

The B-ball thing is merely a distraction, because the spring practices aren't televised (outside of the intrasquad scrimmage).
 
Why does CBS seem to be pulling for BYU? How do you not pull for the underdog that hasn't been in the tournament for 47 years? I've only watched sporadically, but all I keep hearing is "here comes BYU... that's their game!" They were disappointed that a flagrant wasn't called on the Dukes earlier for a block out that I don't even think should've been a foul.

Just seems odd. Not like BYU losing would hurt CBS ratings later in the tournament.
 
BYU has to be one of the worst teams finishing around the rim I’ve ever seen. They’ve left so many points out there on easy buckets.

BYU is #1 in the country in FG% at the rim. They also barely shoot them though (4th fewest attempts)
 
NIL is not good for commercials. Caitlin Clark and Armando Bacot are great players, but the most God awful actors I've ever seen. Just because you can doesn't mean you should.
 
Feels like the Dukes getting away with a lot.
