The tens of millions in B1G money will help ease any pain.

Doesn't ease the pain of the fans who like to win though………and they won't be by the looks of things, at least for a while. Good news is they're in the B1G so you always have a chance in a 50-47 game

Talk about a program that has fallen off the face of the earth. A decade ago they were pretty much as elite as any other program in the country. I have to imagine Turgeon will be gone soon. Gary Williams didn't exactly set the world on fire with recruiting but at least he could coach, and keep his players under control for the most part. There is so much talent in that area, there is no reason they shouldn't have made the tournament since 2010. It isn't like it will be easier in the Big 10.

This kid completely blows up his scholarship because of $10 worth of munchies. What a maroon.

Feel bad for the kid. Days away from unlimited snacks and food from the school??? An overzealous cop, a scared kid and poof two broken fingers and the rest of the summer off for the cop and loss of a scholarship.

I feel badly for the kid too, but actions have consequences and unfortunately (my armchair psychobabble) some of these kids have too large a sense of entitlement. They have people in their ears talking about their futures, how great they are, or how great they are going to be, and maybe some feel rules don't apply to them. Maybe that's the case with Reed, maybe not.

Bad enough he put snacks in his pocket and tried to leave without paying. But worse was the altercation with the 2 cops, breaking fingers on one of them. Really no way to spin that and not sure if the kid's college hoops days are done. Maybe he can head to Europe for a year or 2?
