Candace and Renee are a ton of fun to listen to on Unrivaled.
Renee tends to be a little over the top and screechs a bit but would take her comments any day over Candaces's overly calm demeanor. Sometimes seems like Candace just got up from a nap. Perhaps I am overly harsh but if women's basketball wants to increase interest, it needs professional, experienced announcers. Both will be good given more time but today are early in their TV/radio careers.

I dunno, maybe it was because the game was, well, boring?

I was impressed. I confess I cringed when I heard who was doing the color commentary, not because I don't like her because it's been my clear impression she's not a UConn fan, and that has shown through in the past. Not last night. I hope the opening few seconds were planned, where the other commentator brought up the most recent Tennessee game to start the conversation. I worried about which way it was going to go but I'm not sure I can add much to what others have said about her evenhanded treatment almost gushing at times about UConn (I'm biased but I think gushing about UConn is evenhanded). The one negative was the level of the sound but that's not on her that's on the sound engineer.

I loved the insights she brought to the game. Sometimes when listening to commentators (I notice is mostly with pro football), they will explain what happened but they will do so in jargon that some people understand but many do not. Great play did you see him use the reverse flibber Jack, after noticing that the off guard was in the wrong position? Candace managed to explain the play without dumbing it down but providing insight into what just happened.

You are overly harsh.

Most people do mellow with time over this sort of thing. As one ages and experiences more of life, they realize that a lot of stuff that used to be a part of our twenties and thirties just really isn't all that important.

For part of the commentary, it seemed a bit sluggish, however in thinking about it today, I'm wondering if CP was being measured in her choice of words, knowing that any mis-speak would be dissected ad nauseam by everyone. There are many things that I both like and dislike about some WBB announcers, and the only one that I truly dislike is Antonelli, as she's comes off as the expert and savior of WBB.
