Touch Down In Tampa (merged)

Only thing I don't like about those pics is they left out part of the team. I understand why, but don't like the message it sends to those not included.
Agree, not a good look…I wonder how Aubrey and Ice felt seeing this first picture? If they cap the number of participants to seven then what is Dawn going to do as she plays 10? Maybe someone can explain how this works.

I think the media largely decide what pictures they want.

It's not how many you are going to play. I have never seen media day/press where they bring out the entire team.

Come on... they didn't show the extras in the 'Magnificent Seven'

People here amaze me sometimes. We have NO idea why certain members of the team went to media day and others did not. Ice and Aubrey could have been getting treatments for physical conditions. Or a plethora of other reasons. And whatever reason they are not in the photo I doubt that it bothers them one bit. What was the rest of them supposed to do, refuse to take a group picture because the entire team wasn't in it? The idea is to present some final four players to fans on media day. Refusing to participate because 100% of the team wasn't there would not go over very well with NCAA or the fans.

Did the girls fly from Spokane to Tampa, or did they fly from Storrs to Tampa.
Believe that they flew to Tampa directly from Spokane. During a post game interview Geno mentioned that the team would be flying to Tampa and that UCLA was probably already there.

By the way, why doesn’t Morgan have a pair of Husky dog crutch cushions like Paige and Azzi had?

Swipe..

Media simply wanted the starters and the top 2 off the bench. The NCAA PR staff typically works with the UConn PR staff (or possibly with CD) to arrange these photo shoots in advance. Media Day activities are tightly controlled to save time and keep to the schedule.

During Mardi Gras you have to do something to earn beads. Don't go there, real bad imagery.
When I was on Bourbon st in the French Quarter, beads were being dropped to girls down below after doing their thing. I must admit, it was enjoyable to watch. LOL

Team just rolled up to the arena. Texas did maybe an hour ago, so I assume they are getting their floor time in.

Also assume that means they're staying maybe up at the river walk, or hilton. UCLA is staying at the JW marriott, and I suspect maybe USC is staying at the "regular" marriott next door

They did, UConn won the Elite Eight game against USC and made it to the Final Four.;)

At Tourney Town where I met Ash’s grandma, aunt and cousin from Indy. Lovely people- wearing SHADE 12 tees. Young cousin says he’ll be able to beat Ash one-on-one when he’s grown up. He looks like he’s in middle school now.

Also no UConn stuff here because UPS shipments affected by storms, yet the other teams are represented. Hmmm…

Go Huskies, Go Ash!!

And I just met Kevin Kiyomura, Kaitlyn’s HS coach at Flintridge Prep, and his lovely wife too! First game about to start.

Says Geno told her he’s only recruiting one PG, while UCLA told her she was one of a few options.

She chose UCONN!!
