I’m happy for the Huskies’ placement in the FF, but mainly for the First Timers, especially Kaitlyn Chen!! Wishing you all the best!! Work hard! Have fun! Be safe! Win #12! Go UConn!! Go Huskies!!!

With that nice picture, we ought to be able to put to rest any dispute about Hartley units for each player.

Ah, yes, Bria Hartley. Been a while, but I do remember a few details: during her tenure we accumulated a whole bunch of players with similar first names. Bria kept hers, some were changed to eliminate confusion ("Polly," for instance). I also recall Bria missing 11 straight 3-pointers before she made another. Of course, the girl also became a questionable device for determining correct height.
And, to balance the scale, I can also remember Katie Lou sinking 10 3's in a row (a record), then making her smile and shrug as she ran back up court in an iconic photo. The game was at South Florida.
In the firm grip of old age, these are a few of the fragments of UConn devotion, aka a cluttered brain.
George Will said he couldn't imagine living in a baseball-less world; ditto the Huskies for me.

Where is Q in the photo?
Third player from the left, next to Cheli (recognizable by her crutches). For those of us used to looking for Q by her afro puffs, she threw us a curve ball.

I'm sorry, but I believe the game you're referring to was played at Mohegan Sun against South Florida. The American Conference Championship game where Katie Lou took and made all 10 of her three-point shots. Set the NCAA record for a single game in the process.

Absolutely loved the photo of her smiling and shrugging her shoulders as she ran back up the court.

The game was at Mohegan Sun. She coulda been wearing a blindfold it was a marvelous sight to see.

Did the girls fly from Spokane to Tampa, or did they fly from Storrs to Tampa?

Only thing I don't like about those pics is they left out part of the team. I understand why, but don't like the message it sends to those not included.

I kind of agree but I think you can only send so many players to media day.

Agree, not a good look…I wonder how Aubrey and Ice felt seeing this first picture? If they cap the number of participants to seven then what is Dawn going to do as she plays 10? Maybe someone can explain how this works.

I think the media largely decide what pictures they want.

It's not how many you are going to play. I have never seen media day/press where they bring out the entire team.

Come on... they didn't show the extras in the 'Magnificent Seven'

People here amaze me sometimes. We have NO idea why certain members of the team went to media day and others did not. Ice and Aubrey could have been getting treatments for physical conditions. Or a plethora of other reasons. And whatever reason they are not in the photo I doubt that it bothers them one bit. What was the rest of them supposed to do, refuse to take a group picture because the entire team wasn't in it? The idea is to present some final four players to fans on media day. Refusing to participate because 100% of the team wasn't there would not go over very well with NCAA or the fans.
