A little history first. Loyola of Chicago won the NCAA championship in 1963 in overtime in a very famous game. They also have had for many years an amazing men's basketball team chaplain in Sister Jean Delores Schmidt who died last month at the age of 106.

As for the upcoming game, we are coming off a better performance against Florida State than our first game with some very positive developments. Here are my top 3 things:

1) More playing time for Caroline, Jana, K9 and Allie.

2) A breakout game for Serah. Just go up with the baby jumper. Don't hesitate. No one is going to block that shot.

3) Close out defense on the Loyola 3s. We had maybe the best close out defender ever at the arc last year in Paige but we need to start doing it better this year.

I know you have several but try to keep it to 3.

Improvement

Minutes for everyone

60/40/90 shooting. Hey, they were close last game even with the missed layups.
Continue the defensive intensity
Some court time for Blanca and Gandy, if healthy enough to play

1.Improve 3 pt %..shooting a dismal 24% while opponents are shooting 36%
2.Serah become more comfortable underneath
3.K9 continue to get better and better to help with the scoring besides Azzi an SS

1. Efficiency from the jump
2. 3pt % at 40%
3. Caroline building on her performance with at least 5 more minutes of playing time

UConn shot 37% (7-19) vs FSU while FSU was 12-31, 39%. Geno said that leaving three point shooters open was the downside of pressing

Gonna switch it up a bit... but a win and no injuries goes without saying (plus it gives me 5 things LOL)
  1. 25 points each for Azzi and Sarah plus a double-double for Sarah (9 boards in each of her 1st 2 games)
  2. More improvement from Serah and continued good play from Allie
  3. Double digit minutes for Caroline, Ayanna, Kelis, Ice and Jana
Kinda sorta - would love to see a Blanca in uniform sighting, not just in warm up sweats...

1. I know nothing about Loyola. But I feel like this is the sort of team Serah should dominate. I am just hoping for progress and it seems like we should be able to hope that she looks a bit more comfortable in this game.

2. We need to get Ashlynn Shade going.

3. I want to see positive performances from Fisher and Ziebell. Those are the two bench players that interest me the most with this opponent.

Staying Healthy!
1. Making at least 42% of their 3's!
2. Have Blanca well enough to have her join the other healthy 13 with PT!
3. To have Ashlynn come out of her funk and hit for double figures, 3 assists, 5 rebounds, and low TO's!

.-.
Generally, I want to see more time from more players, so Geno can more confidently firm up who is 3-5 on his depth chart, who is 6-7, who is 8-10, and the rest.

Some of the many possible specifics:

1. Please let Blanca be healthy and ready to play extended minutes, so we can all see her stuff.

2. Continued quality play by K9 and Allie, especially including 3pt proficiency.

3. A continued rise by Caroline, the Phoenix.

1) Somehow keep from totally embarrassing Loyola
2) The bench have more minutes than the starters
3) Have both Jana and Serah on the court together
