Top 3 Things You Want To See Tuesday, November 4th, at 5:30 pm Against Louisville. Game is on ESPN.

Seeing that we all always hope for a win and no injuries I think that those are assumed. What might change for a particular game like this:
1. Dominate the game with great defense leading to explosive offense.
2. We begin to see specific combinations for things like pressure, 3 point offense, post domination.
3. All healthy players get the time they need to show their skills after the starters get their needed minutes.

Okay, I think we should leave it here for at least 10-12 games and perhaps then come back to it to see who is closer to what is happening at that time. I actually don't think we are too far apart.
Sounds good.

I know that all of you want to see minutes from everyone. But for me it’s;

22-25 minutes for Azzi, Serah and Sarah.
Not me - maybe I'm in the minority, but I want to see Geno's core 8-10 pretty much the entire game. Bring in the end of the bench the last 4 minutes, including Kelis, Carol, Gandy, and Ayanna (if we have a big enough lead). There will be plenty of blowouts to give more time to the reserves. In a big game like this, I expect to see 30+ for Azzi and Sarah.

Geno has said it, and it's been echoed here on the board - you simply can't play 14 players consistently and hope to have any kind of chemistry or cohesion. One interesting thing Geno did was to experiment with different lineup configurations, especially against BC. While it made for ugly basketball, it gave the staff a chance to see certain players grouped together.

IF he goes a core 10, I do NOT expect to see a hockey change at any time during the game. I expect he will have at least 1 starter on the floor at all times, more likely at least 2. I think his first 3 off the bench will be Kayleigh, Blanca, and (wait for it...), Allie. I think Jana continues to get limited minutes and may end up being the last player in the core 10 (I'm guessing Ice comes in before she does).

.-.
1. Fast starts in the first & Third quarters, with Azzi, Sarah, and Serah all are in the teens in scoring at the half, and are not needed for the second half - but are able to be split up to develop those coming off the bench (10 players get 15+ mins);
2. smothering defense feeds the offense;
3. all Huskies stay healthy in a 25+ point MoV over the Cards.

I think this is the third most difficult game on our schedule. I hope we are ready.

It’s almost not a “three things” game for me. I would just take a win.

Lets not expect to much in our first game and it will be a competitive game. First game jitters. Newbies learning and adjusting and coming out of their comfort zone. Our core from last season will control the game. Our defense should control the flow of the game. Im expecting a suffocating nerve racking overwhelming defense which will get us going. Our core coming back with Serah is going to be just to much for most teams. We have a big in the middle this season which will allow our defense to take chances. We saw what our defense did to 3 number 1 seeds last season in the NCAAs. It should be even better this season.
Not only do we have BIGS in the middle, Sarah & Serah can (& will) score. Hopefully, that skill will "rub onto" our other bigs. Just like last year when Geno & PB told Jana that she will get the ball more WHEN she is unstoppable in the post (she (Jana) thought she was already there, but no). With Serah as exhibit A, I believe Jana & Ice will make great improvements on offense this season.

Over the course of THIS season, I hope to see a lot more "unstoppability" developed in ALL of the bigs. That will indeed make it easier for the guards (& some bigs) to rain down 3's.

Go Huskies!!!

A triple-double-double. I like that. And it'd be even better if it was points-rebounds, points-blocks, and points-steals.

While we're at it, I predict Sarah will have more than one triple-double in her career.
I'm thinking the first Sarah triple double will be in points-rebounds-assists, but would like to see any Husky getting it with steals-blocks-assists (possibly KK, Ash, Sarah, or Blanca?!?).

Is a quadruple double out of the question then?

Go Huskies!!!

Also hope to see more of Kelis. Between her, KK, and Kayleigh, who provides more offensive punch?

Kayleigh is more versatile and is a good offensive player with a 3, pull up J, and drive moves left and right.

My view is that, in time, Kelis will be a major scoring threat from all 3 levels.
That is the expectation. She looks very poised out there. Let's see how she plays , if she plays, Tuesday. I think she will however.

1) assist to turnover of 1.8 or better
2) Serah getting at least one assist from passing out from the low post to the
perimeter
3) 3or 4 easy fast break baskets

I’d like to see:
1) A win — no injuries
2) UConn’s stifling defense
3) The integration of the new kids

1. You Tube TV & Disney knock off the Carriage dispute
2. ESPN Coverage without switching providers.
3. A great game by the Lady Huskies.
I looked at the men's and women's schedules and there are 5 combined games, plus ESPN is carrying the women's final four. Combine that with college football playoffs, we figured we'd hold our noses and get the ESPN app if there is no resolution by Tuesday.

I believe ESPN will carry the complete women's basketball tournament. I know that they did last season.
