Top 3 Things You Want To See Tomorrow Night Against Syracuse

1. Liv and Aaliyah with a dominate performance over Cardoso.
2. Five scorers in double figures
3. Nika resting her ankle.
- I know, I know, but I'm confident enough in the rest of the team to not want to aggravate her injury(-ies) even further.

1) Liv and Aaliyah able to score and rebound efficiently against a bigger opponent.
2) Another impactful game from Evina. We need her (and others) to be really good on both ends to be a serious championship contender.
3) Christyn stays out of foul trouble and dominates her match-up.

.-.
1. Aaliyah giving us a repeat performance with less fouls
2. Olivia making a high % of her buckets at the basket
3. Aubrey contributing on both ends

I have faith in college trainers. If they think Nika is not ready she will not play. If she plays it is because they don't think it is not ok for her to do so. Knowing that:
1. Nika is health and plays well making the offense look great.
2. Once again great defense leading to very effective offense.
3. UConn and Syracuse result looking very similar to what happened in their last tournament meeting.

Nika cleared to play (if they want to give her a day off, that's good too!).
Lock down defense.
Lots of transition baskets and efficient half court offense.

A Win...... Will be more difficult if Nika unable to play. Anna looks lost in the Offense and is slow on defense.
Paige Takes over the Game Early.
Olivia and Aaliyah both have good games scoring in double digit points and both have 8+ Rebounds.

1. Nika in the starting line up and terrorizing their PG.
2. Paige make a couple shots in the first couple minutes
3. Speed to get out in front of those lumbering Syracuse bigs

.-.
I'm thinking along the lines of many of you, including making layups, avoiding fouls, and returning to lockdown defense. But I'll add some others:

1. Paige dazzles.

2. Aaliyah destroys.

3. Aubrey demoralizes.

The biggest thing I'd like to see tomorrow is an earlier start time for us. Our girls have to wait all day to play an 8;00 pm game when they could just as well play at 2:00 pm. I understand why the sponsors want them to play in "prime time". That doesn't help our team though.

  • Nika in the starting lineup
  • UConn’s defense overwhelming the Cuse
  • Coach Q extremely exasperated on the sideline
Not that you need anymore, but if I could, I'd give you 100 likes for those last two. That would mean we've opened up a can on 'em!!! :D

Note - Watch Hillsman tomorrow night. He is constantly on the other side of the sidelines by a foot or two. I'm surprised he's seldom tee'd up for being on the floor, and outside of the coaches box.

1. A win
2. No injuries
3. Competent refs

I rarely call out the refs but hey, between watching the Troy TAMU game last night and some horrific RL stuff yesterday I'm in no mood for more of what we've seen so far this tournament.

1. We hit all our three's
2 Aubrey dunk on Cardosa
3. Anna hits 4 three's and make some great passes like the old days

1. No friggin injuries!
2. Nika healed and playing really well.
3. Great defense and Convincing Win!

1. Decent refs that at least are somewhat consistent in their calls and don’t feel the need to take over the game.
2. Stifling defense by UCONN.
3. AE out-muscling Cardoso.
