Many of us watched the SC game today so here are my top 3 things:

1) Paige to start immediately scoring and enabling and everyone boxing out

2) Evina to get back to scoring like the first 2 games with Azzi subbing for her and having a day like today

3) Moving the game to 7:00 pm which would have been done if the Mens' #1 v. #2 were playing

What are yours?

1. A preview of the team they will become by March
2. Transition from defense to offense and back again fluidly
3. Block out in post to get more rebounds

1) Out rebound the opponent unlike today.
2) Have fewer turnovers than the opponent unlike today.
3) Not be doubled in steals unlike today.
4) Like today have the larger number on the score board when it says 00:00 ;)

Sorry I posted four, math was always my worst subject, so the loyal of The Yard can feel free to delete one of your choice. :D

1. Mental and physical toughness. I saw the S.C. game from the floor level today. They are big and tough.

2. Making at least 5 more treys than S.C. Azzi!!

3. Paige being the best player on the floor. She's a difference-maker.

Keep in mind that Oregon was missing their 3 best players. S.C. looked intimidating at times, but it wasn't a true test.

I want lots of things, but here are what I think are the three absolute must-haves:
1. ONO, Aaliyah and Dorka must stay in the rebounding ballpark (I think out rebounding Boston/Cardoso/etc. is a pipe dream, but we can at least hang).
2. CW must stay aggressive, like she was in the Minn game; we need some good paint drives to get SC bigs in foul trouble.
3. One or more of Paige/Azzi/Evina/Caroline must heat up from 3 to spread the SC defense and get some ball movement.

Oh, and everyone needs to stay out of foul trouble.

UConn already at a serious interior and defensive disadvantage could really use Aubrey Griffin who quitely might've been the Husky most responsible for last year's win outside Paige.

1). Defensive Intensity like we had against Minnesota.
2). Liv continued awesome passing plus a little more aggression when posting up or in the high post area.
3). Loving the Princeton Offense look with the backdoor cutting. Get more Pinch Post action going out of the Princeton Offense.

1 We're gonna need 4 double diget scorers
2 play zone and force them to shoot treys
3 pack it in and rebound

We do this and we should win

You're asking for a lot for Liv to be aggressive posting up against Boston and perhaps Cardoso. She wouldn't do that against Shae Leverett.

1. I want to watch Dawn struggling for an excuse after SC loses. The tourney has been using Wilson basketballs so she will have to find something else to blame.
