Top 3 Things You Want To See Sunday Against NC State

1. Better front court defense - The bigs (forwards) of Texas were 12-19 from the field. Though I don’t think NC State has the same kind of front court depth/skill that Texas has, every game is a chance to improve! (Side note: Texas scored 34 points in the paint. Better front court defense could cut down on that.)

2. Less turnovers and fouls - Kind of a two-in-one, but Texas scored 25 points off of UConn turnovers (16 turnovers). 16 turnovers isn’t terrible, but 25 points is a lot to allow off of those turnovers. Texas also shot 20 free throws, though only made 10. Still, giving a team a chance at free points while putting yourself/team in foul trouble can hurt in the long run.

3. As always, I want everyone to come out healthy! Let’s avoid any more injuries! These players put so much time and work into this and the last thing I want for anybody is injury.

Beyond that, let’s get a win and continue improving for March!

1: a win
2: containing Johnson. The tiny guard has been an Achilles heel for UConn in the past few years
3: geno using his bench

How about no empty seats. Way too many Monday.
A game against a top team has so many empty seats? Have the ticket prices gone a lot higher than past years?

3 things
1. Better Rebounding. Dorka and Aaliyah need to get tough from the beginning.
2. Better Free Throw shooting. This is a practice issue. Work, Work Work..
3. Reintegrate CD. Someone NC State will have a hard time defending

After the great victory against Texas, here are my top 3 things:

1) Another win;

2) Caroline to play at least 15 minutes and continue getting her wind and timing back:

3) Cut down on the turnovers and touch fouls.

Play hard and with confidence.
1. Make free throws
2. Secure and hold onto rebounds
3. Keep up intensity and pressure.

1. Azzi to continue her POY path with another impressive performance on national TV
2. Control the boards
3. Hit the free throws 75% and up

Dorka drop 15 and 9.

Azzi's midrange be hot.

Nika stay out of foul trouble and drop a few 3s.

Aubrey stun us all.

Yeah, that's four.

1. Sunday stops poking around and gets here fast. I want a second helping of what they were dishing out on Monday night.

Because we are going to need it down the road: I'd love to see Ayanna begin developing and refining her rebounding even more. In high school she wasn't always going up against the "bigs" that are pretty common now on UCONN's schedule. One key component of that on the offensive side of rebounding - learn to develop those pump fakes once you have secured the ball. A good pump fake or two ( or in the case of Larry Bird - 3 or 4 good ones! ) can really clear out the traffic above you and make for those sweet "put backs" that mean so much - and we all love to see.

1. Make layups and FTs.

2. Double-double for Aubrey.

3. Thé Azzi Fudd for NPOY Bandwagon continues. My local girl!

North Carolina State's frontcourt: Camille Hobby Center 6'3" starter # 5
Sophie Hart 6'5" #32, River Baldwin 6'5" Graduate Student #1, with forwards: Mimi Collins,
6'3" Graduate student, and, of course, Jada Boyd 6' 2" forward, senior , a starter.
The Wolfpack's transfer guard, Saniya Rivers, is a 6' 1" sophomore ( South Carolina ).
The other starter is Madison Hayes, 6'0" #41 a guard. We'll have to see how NCS
forcourt matches up with UCONN and how they compare to Texas!!

Yanna shows big improvement on foul avoidance and has a double double!
Nika scores at least 10.
Caroline plays effectively and gets her groove back.
*No injuries!

# 2 was a definite problem for both DJ and AE. Both exhibited poor hands catching passes or holding on to rebounds. It was particularly surprising for AE. I thought with her strength that her hands would be stronger. Our 3 'C' and 'PF' players need to be far stronger, at least when we play teams like SC or Stanford

1. Better Defensive and Offensive efforts by the BIGS from START TO FINISH.
2. Nika and Azzi SHARING the point guard position as conditions call for it.
3. No injuries
