After the DePaul game, we now take on Butler in Hartford. We have a set rotation but we are not firing on all cylinders all game long yet as demonstrated in the Tennessee game and even against the Blue Demons. So to that end, here are my top 3 things:

1) Serah to move more to get into position to get the ball low and go straight up. Forget the high over the top guard to center pass from the set offense. It won't work in the FF. Use the entry pass instead to her with her back to the basket. Don't dribble into position. Just shoot the baby J.

2) K9 and Allie are really playing well and at a high level. While we await Blanca's return, let's see Jana avoid body fouls, demand the ball underneath, secure the ball and finish.

3) As team, keep the turnovers to below 10.

We are in the tightening up phase. What are your top 3?

Because she will be needed before the end:
  1. Jana
  2. Jana
  3. Jana
I so badly want her to put it all together out there. I think it has to start on the defensive end for her where she avoids body contact as best she can and moves around a lot. She made a really good move for her "and 1" against DePaul so she can do it but it just has to be her doing it by being assertive and aggressive.

.-.
Sorry for the dittos, but.....
-Jana get aggressive. Use her height and size and most of all, hold onto the ball. PS, she is doing a better job of going up quickly for layups. Could still be better but not ignoring this improvement.
-Serah to go up and shoot immediately under the basket, particularly when guarded by players 4-6 inches shorter. Ball should never be brought down lower than chest. Go into the defensive player to make room.

That's exactly right. It's just a bad habit with Serah and whenever it comes down it never ends well. Jana is improving slowly and as pointed out, the move she made in the last game where she scored and was fouled she didn't have last year.

1: Lots of minutes for Serah; there's some greatness inside of her, gotta get it out.
2: Balanced scoring.
3: Anyone wearing a mask at least needs to decorate it, like a hockey goalie's mask.
I agree on Serah, we know from her past history that it is in there, if she can start reacting with instinct rather than overthinking, I think should could unleash herself. If that ONE piece can happen, there would be NO chance of us losing this year.

1. Blanca back healthy and ready to finish this year strong
2. Serah unleash yourself
3. Jana more time and please let Caroline play if she is able. We are running out of time to admire what a competitor and great player she was and could have been here. Possible assistant coaching spot for her???

Adding to my previous wish list. Supporting "DEFCONN1"
more YANNA! In a recent pressor Geno stressed the
need for more consistent Post Play and cited Serah,
Jana, and..... YANNA! The NCAAs will require (in
at least one game, probably more) strong play in the
Post. Guard play and outside shooting will be
freed up (even more) with +++ play from Serah, Jana,
AND Yanna!

Besides a win and no injuries:

Improvement from Yanna, Kelis, Serah and Jana.
Four quarters of UCONN basketball.
The return of Blanca and Caroline.

Well ,without Sarah and Blanca I don't see as much of a blowout as we would normally see.

1) Azzi & Allie score 20+ pts each
2) Jana gets extended minutes and scores 10+ pts and grabs 8+ rebounds
3) KK & K9 both have 7 assists and less than 5 turnovers

.-.
1. The Nervous Nellie's (myself included) who changed our predictions are wrong.
2. Jana gets a double double.
3. Allie thinks she's playing against Xavier.
