A win and no injuries are givens so here are my top 3 other things:

1) Paige to lead the way and to start immediately and to take at least 20 shots.

2) Even higher level and more energetic defense.

3) No giveaway fouls like moving screens, reach ins, bad decision charges.

Let's play smart and focused for 40 minutes. What are your Top 3?

1--- Paige and Edwards to play like their past ALL-American status or better.
2--- Azzi and Caroline to play., and to play like All-Amercian caliber players.
3--- The remainder of the team overall "shoot the ball well."

.-.
As always, I want to see good minutes from the freshmen. But the three things I’m looking to see, the indicators of success in a building season, are:

1) Amari getting mid-game minutes, maybe more than 10

2) Caroline hitting 3s and operating in the paint

3) Nika and Aubrey pushing the pace on the break

1) Rebound — UCLA has 6-7 inside, UConn needs to execute a plan to assure that Betts isn’t a vacuum cleaner
2) Execute a plan lest UCLA shows a zone
3) Classic motion offense

Some players take the floor and know exactly what is expected of them, while others need direction.

1. Limit the turnovers for an entire game
2. Better picks and sharper cuts in the motion offense
3. See if you have a 6'6 defender that can contribute. (see comment above)

1. Based upon the current rankings, we are the underdogs, so play like it, get the upset and celebrate like others have done to us in the past.
2. Great defense
3. A Saturday morning replay on @MJL243's YT channel.

3--- The rems the confidence to shoot when open near the foul line

1- Aaliyah stays out of foul trouble with Betts
2- Paige knows the importance of this game and plays like it
3- Pressure their guards with good defense and steals
Aubrey shoots when open. Minnesota sagged off her and packed it in. At that point in the game, CD had missed twice leaving Page as the only outside shooter. Watch Aubrey shooting feathery foul snots, the ball resting on her palm. It is a soft shot, vintage Oscar Robinson. She needs to shoot. Packing the paint hurts our center, whoever is playing that position. And Aubrey can't drive from there.

Edwards MUST stay out of foul trouble, she needs some help down low.

The game. I'd really like to be able to see the game.

1. A "UCONN Quality" game.
2. Azzi, Caroline, and Yanna all play and contribute
3. Get Lauren Betts in Foul trouble early. Challenge her with multiple defenders.
Thats the second time you mentioned Azzi, maybe you haven't heard that she injured her knee in practice and won't play. Waiting for the MRI, but I don't have a good feeling about that.

How to watch for free?

1) Movement, no standing around
2) Patience on offense, make the extra pass to get the better shot
3) tight, but smart defense.
Don’t be afraid to press , we have a bench now

Rebounds
Rebounds
And more Rebounds
and BUCKETS, BUCKETS, and BUCKETS!! Three level scoring... by "SHE who will not be named" and
the "EVERYBODY EATS" gang!

I fell after spinal surgery and got an MRI scheduled in about an hour by my neurologist and I’m not an athlete ( 71). What’s the holdup with getting one scheduled. They don’t have to release the result ( hipa ) but at least they will know how long she will be out for.

1. Tight defensive game with good rebounding.
2. Profusion of attempted shots from the outside.
3. Breadth in scoring contributio.

.-.
# 1 the game itself
2 smooth transition offense to d and back
3 the game

There are some things they can’t see if there’s significant swelling, and UConn jas said they’ll get the MRI done when the swelling is down.

They’re not making this up, I was told the same thing by an orthopaedist a couple of decades ago.

1) Paige and Nika figure out how to play together and reestablish great offense flow
2) Aubrey and Caroline find their best games
3) Find a solution to handle their bigs and allow Aaliyah to play an AA level game

Bonus: continued great contributions from all the new guys!

NC State level ( at least) defense!
Shoot the ball well!
Caroline goes 5/7 on threes!
NO INJURIES!
