Wow, that was fun! We need that same energy, confidence and teamwork all the way through this tournament. I will be at the game with family to see Paige's last at Gampel, and looking forward to a great performance amid great emotions. Having said that, here are my top 3:

1) A great game from the most efficient player ever to play women's basketball. If she makes a free throw(s) without missing and goes at least 1 for 3 from the arc she will be hit the incredible 50/40/90 for the season.

2) More of those "old Celtic like" up court fast break passes we saw last night. Keep them coming.

3) More minutes for Aubrey, Ice and Caroline.

This is the team we have been waiting for for years. It's a beautiful thing.

No injuries
Continue good 3 point shooting
Somebody finds a compass for Ice because she looks lost out there. Not sure what the problem is

Agree with ALL of the above, but I'll add one more thing.

Bench squad looks to score when the starters sit at the end of the game. The benchies filled up our possessions with plenty of passing at end of the Ark St game, but not much looking to score. I'd like to see a better plan.

1. Continue starting the game on an aggressive attack, like ArkSt, putting SoDakSt on their heels right away!
2. Get enough ahead in 1st 1/2 to start using a lot of the bench.
3. All 5 starters have double figure scoring.

1. We have a lot of quickness we can bring with our small lineup. Our press seems to bring our energy level up. Keep it up.
2. Azzi and Ash keep firing if you're hot.
3. Paige do whatever the teams needs to win!!!!

1. Continued improvement on the low post
2. Getting more free throws
3. Improved play from the last 5 in.

Keep doing what they are doing - winning!!

That is all.

1. Keep the defensive intensity up - no let up until after this tournament is over.
2. Keep pushing the ball up the floor quickly and driving with kick-out passes.
3. Jana learns from Lauren Betts on how to keep the ball up high after receiving entry passes or getting offensive rebounds.

Same out of the gate pressure defense
Ice finding some level of comfort as she seems goofy-footed
Keep the turnovers under 10

Before I list my 3 things... this time of year, many say "optics don't matter - you only need to win by 1". Technically that is true, but I believe that HOW you play and how you win in the early rounds is a good indication of where the team stands mentally, physically, their chemistry, how organized they are on defense, and how the offense is flowing, etc...

This team was firing on all cylinders. It was as close to a complete game as I've seen from the team this year. It's one of the reasons everyone was so excited, especially @Tonyc . So for me, just more of the same...
  1. Continued intense, swarming defense with tons of switching and help side
  2. Continued offensive flow - not only creating offense from defense, but also good shooting from our shooters
  3. Continue with every player doing a great job at doing what they do best.
Arkansas State wanted to play fast and full court press. South Dakota State is more disciplined and intentional in their offense and defense. They reminded me a bit of Creighton in their deliberateness. The team is peaking at the right time and I hope that continues.

1. Another combined double-double from Aubrey and Caroline

2. Paige goes for 20+

3. South Dakota State plays up to their capability. It’d be good for UConn to have to work for a game the first weekend — not because they’re playing their B game, but because SDSU is playing their A game.

40 minutes of "don't ever let up, featuring:
1) More great play by the Terrible Trio, joined by Ash, Kaitlyn and Aubrey
2) Jana and Ice getting their cumulative double-double
3) Everybody rebounds (in prep for Oklahoma)!

1. Ash continues to score
2. Jana without a silly foul
3. Tasmanian devil type defense
