So we had a high flying win against Utah with many of the Top 3 Things by posters coming to fruition, the most important of which in my mind was a great game from Blanca with some improvement in her floor game. With a win and no injurues always a given, here are my top 3 other things as we begin Big East play away:

1) Serah to keep on going to her left to develop a stronger and more controlled move and shot from that side.

2) More Blanca instantly impacting the game and cutting down the turnovers and fouls as a matter of habit.

3) The emergence of two more consistent 3 point shooters.

There are many more as you know. What are yours?

1. Improvement when it comes to post entry passes, spacing, and intentional quick movement putting the shot up by our bigs
2. Consistent guard shooting in addition to Azzi
3. Ash not trying to do too much and just being her outstanding self.

1. I’d love to see KK push the tempo, attack early, and stay aggressive. When she plays with that steady confidence on both ends, the whole team settles in around her.
2. I’m hoping Serah gets some good touches inside and can establish herself early—strong finishes, smart movement, and the kind of scoring presence that opens things up for everyone else.
3. Is it too much to ask that Azzi continue drilling threes like she’s checking items off a grocery list, and Sarah do everything short of driving the team bus? Because if they keep playing as they have been, we’re all good.

I’m back to thinking in ‘canary in the coal mine’ mode. Accordingly, my top three are meant as indicators of things going well in general.
  1. Kelis
  2. Kelis
  3. Kelis
If she gets double figure minutes, it means things are going really well.

.-.
1. Get high level point play after KK comes out of the game.
2. Improved positioning in the post so after the move she isn't too far under to make the basket
3. Someone not named Azzi to hit a few threes

All this said they are playing exceptional defense and are fun to watch.

Better positioning, blocking out and especially rebounding by Serah, Blanca and Jana. They need to step up and WANT to rebound NOT WAIT for Sarah to be our only key rebounder every game.

1) Serah hits her first 5 shots (or 4 of 5, but gets the Offensive rebounds to "kick start" her year) to gain a renewed comfort zone.
2) Jana rebounds aggressively and shows her proficiency with the "baby hook" shot as an added positive.
3) Azzi & Sarah light it up for 22 minutes, Blanca for 28 mins, and then enjoy the show for most of the 2nd half as the rest of the team does what they do best at optimal speed (32 assists on 42 made shots; 46% from 3; 55.5% FG made).

Agreed. We want one of them to become a greedy, dominating rebounder and efficient rim protector.

1. Everyone EATS... Offensively and Defensively
2. More clarification of the extended rotation
3. minutes from ICE and Ayanna, .... maybe Kelis and Gandy?

.-.
As usual UConn winning and wishing for no injuries for either team is always assumed. For wishes:
1. The score allows UConn to work on the things Geno wants perfected.
2. Everyone eats and get their needed playing time to hone their skills.
3. Serah finally plays relaxed and has her UConn breakout game so her confidence begins to shine.
