It's mind boggling we're not in a P5 conference. We have better academics and athletics than 90% of them..

They won the championship in 1999, but this list is about the 21st century, so 1999 doesn't count.

Remember these articles come from and target the mainstream. The mainstream groupthink has and keeps K way up on that pedestal.

the methodology seems a little inconsistent.

If they weighted championships something like 10 points, a runner up in a championship or winning a BCS bowl game 5 points, losing in the final four or losing a BCS bowl games 3 points, and making a bowl or the NCAA tournament 1 point, than I think that would be fair and would probably shift things around quite a bit.
