Too soon to recruit Eric Blount Jr?

I find these kinds of videos so creepy and the parents who are allowing this even weirder.

This kid is 11. Can't even legally have social media for 2 year

There are no legal age restrictions preventing a kid from having a social media page. Ultimately, it's up to the parents to know what their kids are doing.

You're right. It's site policies because of COPPA, not a legality.

God I hope Providence wasn’t there watching him and in on him. If that’s the case, it’s all over.

Society doesn't give a flying ****. There's money to be made.

The problem with these proteges is they usually max out at <5’6. and are not the super athletes they need to be to play at a huge level pull it off at our level . Worth keeping an eye on.

Mikey Williams was the next big thing now he barely has future in life. I start following kids in later in high school.

This is crazy. Class of 2030? There’s a tab for class of 2032.

I coached at this level for a number of years and agree with the poster who said you still don’t know how much he will grow. If he is playing in his age group and is that much smaller than kids his own age then he will probably not be very tall. So no matter how shifty he is the odds are super stacked against a kid 5’9” playing Diivision 1 college bb. Sure there are exceptions but not many.

I have absolutely no hard data on this but I feel like kids who go viral in these early highlight vids rarely turn out to be star players in adulthood.

Remember Seventh Woods? Had a crazy hype vid, one of the first I can remember, as a middle schooler, committed to UNC, and proceeded to basically disappear into the ether.

Seems like classic cases of peaking way too early.

There's a few Connecticut kids (literally) listed in the various rankings moving forward. One of them is Robert McIver, Jr. who's dad played at PC and Houston and was a big scorer.

I heard he can make a ham radio out of some toothpicks and tinfoil, too!
