I never was but I wasn't 6'8" either and a Top 30 player so it was never expected I could play in front of 10,000 people..........did it fron of 500 a few times though but I didn't get a free ride either.................neither will my kid I will pay ..................so there are some expectations here like it or not DAD.............

There are expectations... and Roscoe played an excellent game, which met expectations as far as I'm concerned (and I think nearly all Husky fans are, or should be). Last I checked getting a full ride or being "expected" to be able to play in front of 10,000 fans doesn't mean you are also expected to always make the perfect decision in crunch time. There were 2-3 seconds left, Roscoe DID have a shot (but over-penetrated)... yes a dish to AD would've been perfect. But unfortunately I can't think of a single basketball player that always makes the perfect decision with 2-3 seconds remaining. Not to mention Roscoe hasn't gotten a ton of PT this year, so last time he had a big role in a close game of this magnitude was probably about a year ago.

Not trying to say you are wrong about AD being the best option... but the kid is human. If he had pulled up for a floater a few feet further out and made the shot this conversation wouldn't be taking place.

Been watching them since 1967 I think I get it.....but I appreciate the reminder............by the way, it was an easy pass nonetheless and they need to make winning plays!!;)

Nothing like the token Monday morning quarterback.

Nothing at would have been easy about that pass. Scoe was double teamed by Melo and Fair...both have very active hands and no way he could lob it from that angle over Melo. Plus, passing is not Roscoe's strong point.

All this talk about how he should have passed it. Yeah, he probably should have, but let's not forget that he had 2 giants in front of him so maybe his view of Drummond was a little blocked. I dunno, I was at the game so couldn't see what others of you could see from different angles. Anyway, I thought he should have taken the shot right away when he got the ball. He'd been hitting that shot pretty steadily in the second half. I understand why he tried to get closer for the higher percentage shot and chance at a foul, obviously, but I really think he should've just let it fly right away and Drummond would have been alone (assuming the 2 'Cuse bigs still charge at him for the block) for the putback. Still, hell of an effort by Roscoe tonight and I thought he (and Giffey when he knocked Waiters - it was Waiters, right? - on his ass) were the keys to the comeback.

Great effort by the team in the second half. I also enjoyed them shooting with no conscience and with confidence in the first half...hopefully, that will continue.
The game was lost in the first half when they dug themselves a hole. They did a good job of limiting the live ball turnovers against 'Cuse's zone but they just cannot have AD or AO catch the ball in the paint and then shoot the ball somewhere in the vicinity of the backboard and expect to beat good teams.

Token this................simply put he "could have passed it" and it would not have been hard. Left handed bounce pass and he was wide open......also stated can't lay the blame on Roscoe as he was great............also said the coaches should've drawn it up better and decoy'd Lamb or put in his hands at the high post...........in case you haven't noticed this is the Boneyard where you talk about things that happened during the game......Monday QB I'm not.......discussing things I do, look at the game from a TV watching coach I do.......lay the blame I don't I'm not better nor was I..................have to react to dipsh*its like you.......sucks!!!

Didn't realize it'd have to get personal, but I'm not the jack*ss sitting on my computer chair stating how a 19 year old basketball player should have made an "easy" pass to AD for the guaranteed tie. As huskyharry stated, there WERE two defenders right there... and if they had obstructed the pass you'd most certainly be the "dipsh*t" posting how he should've pulled up for the short jumper. Simply put... a scholarship and talent don't have a damn thing to do with making the "correct" decision in crunch time. So before you start throwing around personal insults, you might want to refer back your moronic posts to get an idea of what really sucks in this thread.

And yes, it is the Boneyard... you talk about things that happened. I have no problem with the discussion of the option of passing to AD (which may have been a better option but certainly was not guaranteed as you are making it out to be), but simply the statements you've made within the discussion. I'll leave it at that.. not going to start getting personal.

The second guessing on the Boneyard is beyond comical.

None of us have a goshdarn clue what its like to be on the court, on national tv down 2 vs the #2 team in the USA and have to make a split second decision.

Roscoe played his ass off. The last play didntt go our way-no need to pick the kid apart.

Yes, they played their tails off in the second half. If we played that way the whole game there is no way we lose. It sucks because this team has yet to put it together for 40 minutes, if they do then they have one loss and challenge SU for first place. Instead they play like a team that is lost and confused at times and are tied for 8th pace in a down conference

Roscoe had two choices, shoot righ away or pass down low. he did neither. A learning experience for a sophomore.

The people that are so righteous ar laughable - yeah like you. Tell me something, all of you ignorant SOB's who are afraid to discuss a negative, did you talk to anyone about how it "would've been nice if Roscoe saw Andre on the baseline for the dunk"???? Because if you didn't you're a dope. Having said that he did play his ass off and I noted that right away........for those who care to read instead of just being ignorant........but also this is a board of people who discuss what heppened in the game. It was an obvious part of thhe game but agreed it was an "if"......but if you are afraid to bring it up or read about it then don't....but keep your comments to yourself for those of us who would like to discuss the obvious........it's the BE not the kiss a** league...........Roscoe was great but it was THE play of the game........talk about it but do not lay the blame on the kid........no biggie when you think about it rather than the holier-than-though idiots here.....................

Seriously Roscoe. Pass the forking ball. WTF.

At least he didnt throw the ball 3/4 of the way down the court with 10 seconds left....

Melo laid off him, didn't go for the shot fake, because he knew Smith was looking to pass to Drummond. That's why Roscoe got caught up there. For the record, I think Fair grabbed him before the shot attempt, but not on the shot itself, which was a clean block. I think if Smith hadn't been waiving his arms and falling over backward trying to get the call, he may have gotten it. But sometimes when you play for the call, it's because you don't really have a chance on the shot, and the refs won't call it in that situation.

We had a couple calls, too, (but much earlier) where if it was the NBA, there would have been fouls called when our shooters pumped faked your guys into the air and then initiated contact, but didn't get the foul call. I think Drummond had at least 1 and maybe 2 goal tends late, as well. Great comeback by the Huskies. Surprised to see the game played in Gampel; such a tiny little bandbox of a building. Man, it was loud.

Lamb's last basket came with 11:53 left in the 2nd half. 3 FTs the rest of the game.

There was zero foul on Roscoe - it only looked like it because he took a wacky fadeaway where his body was almost parallel to floor - you see something like that and you assume foul, but not.

As a team, they are poor at passing the ball. Shows in those spots where a couple passes create open shots.
Actually I think he slipped a bit and that is why he looked parallel to the court

Hey man you need to chill out.

Roscoe may have been able to dish it to Drummond, but you and I both have no clue how that would've ended up if AD gets the ball there anyways. Roscoe had been on all night so I don't blame him for keeping it himself. Was he fouled? Looked like it, but it wasn't called.

If it makes you feel better to proclaim you're superior knowledge of hoops because you 'keep it real' and feel the need to belabor Roscoe's error in multiple posts then more power to you.

Yeah superior knowledge recognizing a potential pass? C'mon you chill out calling me out for being a Monday QB when I'm just making a point.........I also felt the need to proclaim in "multiple posts" that he was certainly one of the main reasons we were in that position did you want to point that out? No - instead do me a favor and do not read my posts.........typical holier than though.

With the great effort last night, my hope is to continue this way for the last two games. If we do this, 2 W's should be no problem. The question I have is, which direction will this team take?
