Tommy Fleetwood finally wins a tournament after so many close calls this year. And it's the last tournament of the year to boot.

Cantlay did what he does best which is finish near the top of the leaderboard but chokes when it counts again. He hasn't won a tournament in over 3 years despite all of his talent.

I feel golf is in a very precarious place especially with these two tours. Some of the best players in the world are not even playing on the PGA. The PGA is lucky to have Scottie having such a great year but of course there's always going to be an asterisk next to it because he's not playing against all the world's best. If they don't get this resolved shortly I think theyre just going to get lower and lower viewership.

The PGA still hasn't figured out how to run a play off.

The way it's set up, a player could win the first two playoff games, and another player could finish in the final playoff spot both times, yet if the latter player wins the final tournament he is the Champion of the playoffs.

Yeah, I'm with you.

Guy wins for the first time in his life and is immediately the champion of everything

They have it right in the current format.

No different than a wild card team winning the Super Bowl or an at large team winning NCAAT.

Top 30 play four rounds for a championship.

It's as simple as you can do it while still ensuring TV gets four days of all the top players.

Like any sport, the best regular season doesn't guarantee a championship. And the favorite doesn't always win.

Oh, and looking back on it??? Fairway Jesus should have shaved the beard three years ago.

Yes or No...for golf fans?

On Wednesday Bradley will announce his captain's picks....6 of them.
Will he pick himself for one of the sports?
He is ranked #10 in the USA Ryder Cup standings [I think[. If not a captain he might
well be picked....no guarantees obviously...7-12 are not guaranteed in any way.

A few months ago he said he would NOT pick himself. His emotional win in Ct. in June
seemed to change his mindset. He has had a very good year. Lots of hub-bub
leading up to Wednesday.

I think his fiery 'tude would more help the team if he is captain and focuses on that alone.

Will he pick himself?
Should he pick himself?

I predict 'no' to both questions. You?
BTW: an avid UConn women's fan [Tony C]...and a very good amateur golfer...played a round with
Cameron Young when Cameron was 11 or 12. Cameron now around 26 is very much under consideration for a captain's pick. Hope he gets one. Tony C was way impressed with Young's game and potential after that round.

BTW#2 Any of you ever play Sleepy Hollow? Cameron grew up on that course.

1000% Keegan should pick himself. Between his recent play, the fact he’s a St. John’s alumn and a northeast guy, and now the quotes somewhat chirping Rory, I think he needs to be on the team. It would be electric in my mind.

Honestly the whole LIV thing has pretty much turned me off on watching golf. Too many of the players I followed bolted and I respect what Scottie is doing but he does lack the some of the personality needed to appeal a large fan base.

I like to follow Jordan Speith and I am a Bryson D. Fan as well so with Speith seemingly fading into the abyss and Bryson playing on LIV my level of interest is not what it was.

I also am not a big fan on their playoff process. Seems like they could come up with something a bit more interesting.

I will follow the Ryder cup that is still fun to watch, hopefully this is the year we break this awful streak of losing on their soil. We need to bring back a win this year. I do like Keegan as the captain.
